If I’m Ruud I’m starting Hamza at right back no matter what. Clear instructions on what you want from him and allow yourself 90 minutes to analyse if you are happy with what you see in case a new signing hasn’t arrived to replace JJ.

A defeat in this could be worse for our confidence than some of you might think. Winning breeds confidence and it doesn’t matter where you get that win from. Changes will be made as two big games coming up in the league after.

Go for a mix of first squad members and a smattering of academy prospects in the starting XI and then fill the bench with academy players. 
 

More than enough to win that game and shows the academy players there is a genuine pathway to the 1st team and hopefully we see one or two really step up and help plug some obvious gaps that we may not be able to fill via the transfer market.
