How would you feel if Forest won the league and could it happen?

Don’t care. Could be City, could be Liverpool, could be Arsenal, could be Forest.  Whoever deserves to win it will do.  If it’s not us winning anything I couldn’t care less who wins what.

 

what I will say though is I’m all for ANY team that bloodies the noses of the traditional big boys for a season or two.

The thing about xG is creating chances can go up and down as easily as finishing them. The assumption always seems to be creating chances will remain constant.

It wouldn’t eclipse our achievements, because they’ve spent a lot more than we did on that squad. But I wouldn’t be bothered if they did win it…. Nothing will ever erase what we achieved, and we are one of a very few clubs who can say they have won the PL…. If it was to happen, fair play to them.

I love a good underdog story.  Forest are pretty much trying to do the exact tying that we did in the same way.  Isn't imitation the greatest form of flattery or something?

 

Anyway, it isn't us and would never trump our achievement.  The Vardy story, the Ranieri story, "that" Gary Lineker tweet, 5000-1, the great escape and so on.  NOTHING will come close to the romance of that season.

 

If our league win was a surprising box office smash from a limited budget, Forest feels like a bigger budget sequel with a different writer that wasn't really needed and isn't nearly as good as the original.

 

Good luck to them though.  Even if they do win it, they have to follow it up with at least one more trophy in the next 5 years to be in the conversation about who is better.

But why?  Some people like football but it’s not the be all and end all of their lives!  You make it sound like there should be some mass suicide in viccy park should Forest win the league lol 

 

Some people support Leicester, and don’t care what else happens around them, they are no more or less of a fan than someone who gets angry by the prospect of some other team having a moment in the sun

It's not happening. 

 

It could, but it won't. There's more chance we become a respectable club on and off the pitch by the end of the season than Forest winning it (thanks to Liverpool being good). 

 

I'd be sickened if they won it.

Alot of our lot saying it wont and can't happen just like everyone wrote us off🤣

 

If they somehow do win it then good on them it would be a monumental  achievement to beat Arsenal, Liverpool  and moneybags City.

 

Hot alot of Forest colleagues so I hope it dont happen but I think even getting into the Champions league is fecking mental for them.

Firstly they won’t. We were 5000/1. That is once is 5000 years that a story like that would happen. Ok, the odds were extreme and you could replace 5000 with 300 or 250 but still won’t happen within 10 years.

 

Would I want them to. Absolutely not. I don’t hate them but I find their denial about us amusing.
 

However, even if Derby are their main rival, they can argue with an atlas or or Google Maps all they like but we are regional rivals within the East Midlands region. Pretty identically sized clubs with their own peak times in different eras, sharing a county border, families (mine including) split between the two clubs.

 

I have taken pride in us leading the way in the region and I hate that our implosion has coincided with their revival rather than us competing alongside each other. I also think it means they take our edge that we had when it comes to picking up local talent.

 

So no, from a Leicester point of view, I don’t see how anyone could honestly say they want Forest to win the league unless trying to do exactly what we laugh at their fans for doing.

They won't win the league. 

They won't maintain 2PPG for the rest of the season, sacrilegious as that statement has bizarrely become on here.

They'll get UEL or UECL.

 

They basically threw enough shit and it's eventually stuck, spending vastly more over three years than we did to win the league by 10 points in two.

 

What they could achieve won't even be in the same galaxy as we did in 2016. 

 

Personal note - they're an extremely unlikeable club in every way conceivable.
