In fairness to him he has played a role higher up and we've still had problems down our right side that aren't down to him.

Yeah that's fair, the right would still be an issue because defensively he's not fantastic, but at least we would have an option at right wing which would allow Buonanotte or El Khannouss to come central, and a proper RB would help. I just feel like Justin attacks far better than he defends and his position is leaking us goals we need to improve the squad but Justin will still need to play a role regardless, with fatawu out i'd rather he was placed further up the pitch and allow a really strong defensive full back to slot in where he is now.

If we could just do the same for LW so we can see consistency from Stephy.

We see consistency, mate.

He’s consistently poor 🤷🏼‍♂️

Appreciate the point about youngsters but let's not complain about what looks like a comfortable win. Ruud didn't know it would be this comfortable before but obviously thought getting the win was important. May have thought he'd need the bench strength.

Mads

He's a huge miss, but what happens if we stay up? Mads will be gone, and the chances of us signing a goalkeeper who saves us as much as Mads is, is pretty slim, at some point the defenders and midfield covering them need to improve, as well as a few new faces.

Great for the players confidence this is. Especially JJ. I think RVN was right to go for it today. We need to get used to winning again. Its been bleak these last few weeks.

Lets hope this breeds some confidence, and I realise people wanted to see youth, but there must be reasons we don`t see the u21s more often, and its hard to criticise too much as we got a much needed win with the selected side. (and a minor thing but Kasey and Hamza were on the bench, so there is a pathway of sorts clearly)

Really hope we sign another CB to get rid of Coady

Really?

Last game of the great escape season.  I can see Cambia's bowing to the kop now.  Could've sworn that was 5-2?

5-1 lad

28,242 official attendance. Respectable given the recent poor performances and weather conditions. Pleased for those that braved it. Cracking game.

Spare a thought for the "there won't even be 10,000 there and we'll struggle to win" lot

Very surprised that there 28K there. I looked yesterday and it only looked half sold in most areas.

You'd like to think 5 goals at any stage or the season gives you confidence for the next game or two at least.

We’ll be good in the championship next season. That’s the bright side
