As this isn't even a thing anyway, I'll throw in a hypothetical.  Assuming they cost the same, would you take Harvey back or Buo on a permanent?

Oooh, I think I’d take Facundo. If we can keep Bilal. He carries on his current progress, he will be a big sale and we get to enjoy him until he moves. You know what with all this hypotheticals, I’m just going to live in my head.

If we can send back Edouard and organise a loan for him, then a cut price deal for him in summer if we stay up, but frustratingly it's not the position we need to focus on. If we are going to use our only loan slot, ideally we need a CB or RB

Bring him home!

I did see him out in O’Neill’s when the fury fight was on in December, obviously took it that he was signing for us again once the window opened…

A reflection of the board that he isn't here.

It was funny that we just had to accept getting £35-40m for him because we went down. then a week later they paid the same for f ucking Livramento to be their second choice RB.

Crap negotiating.

Harvey Barnes every time.

And as an added bonus, I wouldn't have to keep reading people referring to Buonanotte with pet names such as 'Goodnight or, even worse, 'Buono' or the hideous 'Buo'

Or any of the other insultingly lazy attempts to spell his name.

Hooked at half time against League 2 opposition. Newcastle fans saying he’s the worst signing under the new owners. Only 6 Prem starts with Gordon and Murphy preferred.

Would you want him back if we stayed up?

Which Newcastle fans are saying that?

I have seen loads of comments online singing his praises and saying he deserves more minutes..

Imagine supporting a team where Harvey Barnes was your worst signing!

ha excellent post..sums up our horrific approach transfers (not to mention contracts albeit a different problem)....we occasionally get on right eg Bilal but that is the exception whereas when Pearson and Walsh were in charge the balance was the other way round

Huge numbers of our fans celebrating his goal was a strange moment.

Some joining in with Barnes will tear you apart again

I like Harvey but was also part of the team that got us into this mess in the first place. Let's not forget that

I walked in from toilet to see him slot it away. Cheers and songs in the home thought so I thought it had been ruled off so ironic cheering. No literally fans celebrating and opposition playing bagging against us.

Just shows it was always a confidence thing with Harvey. He's got a good man-manager in Howe.

Rodgers almost ruined him. I wish him well, the slim hope of re-signing him is now gone forever unless he comes to us during his mid-30s decline, I think.

Harvey scored 13 the year we went down, whilst the rest of the clearly quality players downed tools he was one of them who had any credit.

How a team with that many good players go down is a disgrace

The match thread was pretty much everyone celebrating it, I see it as a **** you to the club, I genuinely wanted him to score last night, we were going to lose anyway so may as well be Barnes scoring
