I'd be tempted to play JJ at CB replacing Faes, play Woyo at RB and Thomas at LB.

Thomas was shocking last night. The weak link that was exploited by a very poor Man Utd side.

What am I missing that others saw last night? What did he do that badly?

I was thinking the same. I don’t think he did badly. Granted, I haven’t watched it back and sometimes “in the game” it can be a blur but he was up against Amad who was getting a good amount of the ball while he was on. Won some battles, lost others. Generally did ok.

Yep. I don't recall any glaring errors or times where I thought 'he should be defending better than that' or 'how did he get done so easily'. I thought he matched up to Diallo quite well.

I thought towards the end he ran into no mans land a few times and lost the ball. Like anyone new, he will need a bit of time, but i thought he looked ok and i think it silly to start calling him crap.

Bare in mind there were a decent number of posters on here calling Bilal crap and a waste of money after a few appearances.

Not going to judge too much on that. Sterling is shot at this level and the good things he did were against him 1 on 1 defending.

In terms of individual qualities, early signs are he's a decent athlete but lacking a bit of poise in possession.

he was decent but I think the set up generally was better, BDCR was much better at supporting his full back than others have been, so the right back position was nowhere near as exposed. still, promising signs and you'd expect he's in for a while

Looks alright defensively. Though he was caught out of position a few times, but I think that just down to game time or the lack of it. Looked nervous, which isn't surprising.

One on one, I think he won the ball each time.

One thing I really liked about him is that he actually engaged Sterling in the 1v1 (and seemed like he won it everytime) rather than standing him up like Justin was doing

We might not have been pleased with only this signing in the window ….but a scenario without it would mean thomas being the only other fit full back to fill in at right back 😳, now there’s a thought

Tanguy Coulibaly scores for Montpelier against Lyons. Brother? He's a winger! Sign him up.

There's a Soumaila Coulibaly currently on loan at Brest from Dortmund.  21. Left footed. Rapid.  Sign him up.
