We have won games and grinded out some draws so we can do it.

We were 15th untill this clown took over although the fans did for Cooper and that had run its course.

Too late for moyes or potter but we could bring Dyche in although it would be painful.

Ridiculous management appointments and now the team are shot of confidence.

Please do not dilute the board out message with noise around the manager.

The best manager in the world would, at best, paper over the cracks for a temporary period.

That's not to say I agree with all of Ruud's decisions, but it's all a bit inconsequential, really, isn't it?

Ruud might be the right guy, but he's here at the wrong time.  We need someone who can grind out results with a below par bunch of players.  It won't be pretty, but we need to be picking up points with 0-0, 1-1 and the odd narrow victory here and there.

RVN might be capable of being a top performing manager, but not here, not with this bunch of players and not now.

RVN is just a fool guy for years of failure.. it’s not his fault he’s not been backed or inherited a squad that is far weaker than the one that got relegated.

sack Rudkin first!!!

End of the day, a lot of fans needs to realise that the manager isn’t the problem. We’ve just got a horrific team for this level.  It simply doesn’t matter who our manager is at this point in time.

we could have Pep, Klopp or god knows who else it wouldn’t make a blind bit of difference.  You can’t polish a turd.

The problem here and it’s ALWAYS been the problem, is the personnel higher up than the manager.  Until that is sorted one way or another, nothing will change.

He might be symptomatic of the problem, though. Those who are nicest about Top absolve him on the grounds that he knows nothing about football and has entrusted Rudkin with that side of the business. And yet it was Top who took the lead with the Ruud appointment, acting on concerns of senior players who have not looked the part, and bypassing those like Rudkin who supposedly come from a footballing background. If - as seems likely - that appointment improves nothing, then it wouldn't be out of keeping with the pattern of consistent mismanagement, and the chairman being the most culpable for it.

He's made some weird, weird calls. I'm sure he has his reasons, and it's way too early for me to call for him to go (as with Cooper, until it became clear that the toxicity from fans and players was making his position untenable) but my god he looks like he's struggling. I just get the feeling that he hasn't read the room at all with us.

I also find it difficult to call for his head because I just don’t see it with this squad. I said on here at the start of the season that this squad reeks of Championship, we failed to strengthen our squad by producing an horrific summer transfer window, now we’re paying the price.

But he hasn’t helped himself today, his substitutions were crap against Palace, they were even worse today.

Losing games mixed in with bizarre managerial decisions is just the perfect recipe for the sack I’m afraid.

Glad we've pissed away a transfer window too.

We are a circus

At least a circus is reasonably entertaining

I dont blame Ruud, its not his fault the ownership looked for the wrong qualities in a manager, and he was right Cooper shouldnt have got fired based on results.

But still he hasnt had enough games yet, so I am not on a out bandwagon.  We cant be sacking managers every couple of months, and then ignore the DoF, CEO and owner.

Well I wouldn't argue with you on any of that. People who believed Maresca would have done more with this squad, or that Cooper should have had them upper-mid table were utterly deluded, and responsible for some of the strangest posts I've ever read on here. I have some sympathy for Ruud and the graveness of the mess he's inherited, and there's still some hope that he'll get a handle on things, but even so he's making some awful, awful decisions.

I was optimistic when he joined as thought he would be brave.

Hes anything but. Wrong lineups, terrible subs and we’ve become more timid than before.

Sounds brutal but I would actually be happy if he resigned tonight.

Didnt really want him but we looked better as a team, even though the results didnt improve. But today he was terrible, wrong team, wrong subs and I'm glad the fans let him know that, when he subbed off Bilal. I've got zero confidence he can keep us up.
