Top is responsible for ensuring the right people are in the right positions here at Leicester. If Top isn't capable of ensuring that the right people are in the right positions then he has to face the music. 

 

He's not an "owner". He's a custodian. The football club will be here long after he's gone. It's up to fans the scrutinise and to hold these people accountable for their actions.

Didnt want to respond as wanted to enjoy the win yesterday. 

 

However, KP bought LCFC for Top and co to learn. KP bought Leuven for Top and co to learn. When I say KP, I mean VIchai. 

 

They bought LCFC 14 YEARS AGO. If Top hasnt "learnt" in that time and is still making the mistakes that we see before us, we have an idiot on our hands. 

 

So saying that they are "learning" about football isnt really an argument in his favour.

‘Football is a business’ crowd have gone beyond the pale. It’s the level of libertarian thinking that’s essentially “if I’ve bought a Grade I listed heritage building, and ran a successful store in it for a couple years before it all went to shit, why can’t I just pull it down and build a shopping centre on top?”

 

Football clubs are a tangible historical asset in their communities, with many approaching or beyond 150 years of running. The idea someone can come in, accomplish a couple trophies and it affords them the ability to decline any scrutiny no better how poorly it’s ran, and you have supporters defending them suggesting they can or should just shut doors at the hint of any dissent, is absolutely staggering. Even ‘businesses’ these folk love to refer to wouldn’t operate this way because they’d be bankrupt within half a year. A normal business cannot rely on basically holding its ’customers’ hostage because they’re in control of an asset extremely ingrained into local culture thats a multigenerational point of identity in households.
 

Which is exactly why it’s not ‘just a business’ and why an owner can’t just shut the doors. If all the supporters left overnight there’s no club, it’s going bust or declining to an unrecognisable form. If the owner left and managed to liquidate the club purely out of spite, there’d be a Leicester City AFC set up by the supporters within a month.
 

A club is never just its owners. If a club doesn’t have its supporters then it’s nothing. Anyone can have an opinion on whether it’s x’s fault, y’s fault or z’s fault, but the idea anyone involved in the club is above scrutiny is nonsense.

Realistically this probably achieveable, but this is like a negotiation. We need to go in hard to make a point and then we might get this compromise option.

The motion of ‘sack the board’ is a way of directing our frustration and anger to off-field senior management who are constantly failing in certain areas. 
 

It’s a chant 99.9% of football fans know. What would you prefer? - “oh please do better Jon and Susan, even if you’re not on the board”?  Get a grip. 
 

Obviously Top isn’t going to see this and then sack Rudkin and Whelan. But if it gets enough coverage, it’s got to start those cogs in his head turning. 
 

People can keep saying he lost his dad at the club. And he did. And it was horrific. Truly horrific.  But that does not mean he, as the owner of this club, can keep incompetent senior members of staff hanging around.  I appreciate he’s ’written off’ millions of pounds of debt … but the whole ****ing point is that we shouldn’t have been in that position for him to have to. And those who are ‘running’ the club are currently ruining it. 
 

For me, this protest has to be more about Rudkin and Whelan’s consistently poor form.  And they will be taking the brunt of the protest messages. 
 

This is going ahead whether our snowflake fans like it or not. If you don’t like it, don’t support it. Organise your own happy clapper bus filled with sunshine and rainbows where everything is magical and delusional.

Everything is not as black and white as you make it. I’m not in favour of a ‘sack the board’ protest but it doesn’t mean I’m a happy clapper who doesn’t think there have been mistakes.

An owner could of course disband a club. But a phoenix club could be immediately set up and if the EPL / EFL were so inclined, could award the league membership to the phoenix. 

 

In that sense, owners of a club are more exposed than fans.
