Swfc gave it there absolute all. Could have easily been a banana skin but we got the 3 points and that's what matters. Massive build up to this game with a lot of pressure. Buzzing!

I do feel to a certain extent that whoever faces Wednesday in the coming weeks is on a bit of a hiding to nothing because they'll give it everything and have nothing to lose. If we'd spanked them 5-0 today, I doubt we'd have got much credit for it.

They'll fight hard, every neutral will cheer them on and they'll be well-backed on the road as Coventry were a few years ago when their fans boycotted 'home' games in Northampton and Birmingham to go follow them on the road instead.

Not sure where to put this but I was surprised to see Praet having a Championship medal in the trophy lifting photo.   I have completely forgot that Praet played for us in Championship last time around.

Thinking about now,  I think he had a good game against Coventry in the opener?

Then the table there is wrong.

Bit late in the day, but I forgot to let you in on the reason Ipswich are above Brum.

From Chatgpt:

Ipswich are above Birmingham because of the EFL’s tie‑break rules — after points, goal difference and goals scored, the next criteria (after wins) is goals scored away from home. Ipswich’s 1–1 at St Andrew’s included an away penalty for Ipswich (George Hirst), so Ipswich have one away goal while Birmingham have none — that puts Ipswich above Birmingham in the early table.

Why are Millwall ahead of us in the table? Thought it would be alphabetical at this stage given all league table stats are tied

More away goals. It goes points > goal difference > goals scored > head to head record > wins > away goals > disciplinary record/penalty points

Wrexham spending £10m on the incredibly average Nathan Broadhead

They’re a championship vets team. Absolute dog muck. They will still manage to put three past us though.

You can tell the premier leagues started, 10:22 on a match day and not a single article about any other league on the sky sports app and very little to non on bbc 😔

Today is the first time I've sat down for the sky sports EFL show for the early kickoffs and it's pretty decent in going around the managers discussing the teams and players who have been impressing. Pretty good as I've barely seen anything over the past 2 weeks.

Sky Sports News would just have you believe there's only Premier League football on this weekend.

I don’t pay any attention to the championship other than our games. Can’t stand it so I’m never bothered that it isn’t talked about as much.
