2 more spaces I believe

We submitted a 22 man squad and then added Vieites to it

Not according to what Marti wants that's for sure. Sounds like he want's as few options as possible. Sign of a bad man manager that!

Think we defo need to get a free Striker soon. Can't go on with what we have right now. They need to be sold in Jan but before that get some free strikers who are looking for new club and probably be more hungry. 1 or 2 year deal.

We’re not going to dip into this market, the club has far too big of an ego for it.

Signing a striker now would be admitting they didn’t get the window right… they simply won’t even consider it

I mean, we could dip into the free transfer market to get Emmanuel Dennis, Sergi Regulion and Takehero Tomiyasu, which would solve some of our issues!

I was just wondering how the hell Tomiyasu was without a club but it looks like injuries so maybe wasn’t fit in the summer?

But if he was fit, he’d be a great pick up.

that's not what he's saying though is it, it's his subtle way of saying he doesn't want a squad of players that are technically average and mentally buggered that he seemingly has to play.

I'm sure he'd love a 25 man squad with the the main group of experienced quality mentally up for it players supplemented by a group of upcoming youths that he can give the appropriate runs in the team.

We could also go and get Andre Ayew, what a signing that would be!

The start of a new horror movie franchise:

Ayew

Ayews

Ayew 3

Ayew: Resurrection

Ayew Vs Predator

If you see him coming: Run! Or walk briskly

No thanks - 6 goals since 2022. An average of 2 per season is prolific by Daka's standards TBF.

Looking at his career it seems like he only had one remotely good goalscoring season.

Years Team Apps (Gls)
2016–2017 Zorya Luhansk 22 (6)
2017–2021 Club Brugge 85 (19)
2021  1. FC Köln (loan) 9 (0)
2021–2022 Watford 35 (10)
2022–2025 Nottingham Forest 19 (2)
2023–2024  İstanbul Başakşehir (loan) 8 (0)
2024  Watford (loan) 17 (4)
2025  Blackburn Rovers (loan) 6 (0)

A player who has similarly achieved little in recent years but I can't stop wondering about is Dele Alli. Lots of baggage but would immediately become the most talented player in the division.

Tbh I wouldn't be confident that Cifuentes would be the man who could get him back on track, but that's a whole other conversation.

Depends on what's those appearances constitute. Those 6 league games for Blackburn got him on average 26 mins a game. Not really a lot of opportunity to make an impact. He's quick and at one point looked to be half decent, still only 27. If we've got no cash to spend you offer him a deal until the end of the season on a pay as you play deal.

I don't follow his career closely, but you've got to ask why Blackburn played him so sparingly. lol

Maybe it was a fitness thing (which again wouldn't bode well for us) but I suspect despite his relative fame he just isn't very good in 2025... and we've got more than enough of those types!

It's not stopped them going after their 23rd centre back every window

Bit weird, cos last time I saw something about him it was pretty positive for him there.

He's their captain, has a very good goal/assist record playing as a 10 and still had a year left.
