Given Leicester City's financial constraints due to Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) and their inability to take more Premier League loans, they should have targeted:

Right-Back (RB) Options:

1. Danny da Costa (Free Agent) – An experienced Bundesliga full-back formerly at Eintracht Frankfurt, offering defensive solidity.

2. Kelvin Amian (Spezia) – A versatile right-back who can also play centrally, available for a cut-price fee from Serie B.

3. Colin Dagba (Strasbourg - Loan/Permanent) – A technical, attack-minded full-back with Ligue 1 experience.

Center-Back (CB) Options:

1. Jason Denayer (Free Agent) – A Belgian international with top-flight experience, available without a transfer fee.

2. Jorge Meré (Cádiz - Loan/Permanent) – A ball-playing center-back who could provide depth and composure.

3. Sepp van den Berg (Liverpool - Permanent/Foreign Loan) – With limited chances at Liverpool, Leicester could have secured him on a foreign loan from a sister club.

Winger Options:

1. Ryan Kent (Free Agent) – Ex-Rangers winger with dribbling ability and Championship experience.

2. Samuel Kalu (Watford - Loan) – A pacy winger struggling for minutes, but with the potential to impact Leicester's attack.

3. Alex Collado (Real Betis - Loan) – A La Masia-trained playmaker with flair, available on a short-term deal.

Leicester needed smart, cost-effective deals. Did they miss an opportunity? Absolutely. They should have focused on free agents and overseas loans to improve their squad while avoiding PSR breaches.

I couldn’t care if Ronald McDonald replaced Rudders as he’d probably give more passion and positivity to the club than old JR !!

He's more of a J Arthur than JR.

Any semi-competent director of football from Braga, Feyenoord, Bristol Rovers, Union SG etc type clubs would be a big step up for us.

Go to the nearest bus station, wait for someone to come out of the men's room stall and sign them up to be our next Rudkin. Then tell them to wash their hands a go f... themself. This will  end up just as well as what we got now.

Massively unrealistic but throw everything at Michael Zorc and change  the whole structure to in my opinion the sustainable option if not in top 6. Never happening but just give him full autonomy and the money he needs to change the entire structure, strategy and long term vision.

Before anyone says, never happening I know.

I genuinely guarantee there’s a lack of awareness for his longevity and importance to the club, but we’re playing poor now, and we need someone to blame.

RVN can’t possibly be an issue with his 2 wins in 10, our defenders allowing a ball to bounce and being 1-0 down in 10 seconds are blameless too.

Rinse and repeat whenever it’s poor, but when it’s good, it’s always the manager and players

Oh, and I’ve heard every single backlash to this comment, 500 times over. You’re still going to be wrong 👍

As Don King once said;

"You go for the quality of the performance not the longevity of it."

Had a quick glance at how our window ended and wow, what were we trying to do at the end, what a complete shambles we are compared to how we were before where our transfers seemed thought out ahead.

You mean that bit where despite being without our best winger for the season we just had our CB come in and say he wants to go and play with his old mates, we say yeah maybe but we might need you to play with us, he says he'll see if his old mates have a new mate who doesn't want to be mates anymore and could play with us instead, we see which mate that is and aren't too sure about him.........it's more like the Dog and Duck A Team on a Sunday morning than Professional Premier League.
