We simply can't afford to have players in the team who's only responsibility is running off the ball and positioning.

I agree that's important, but to the extent of taking almost zero part in the game...the cost/benefit is too high.

Would any other manager in the PL sacrifice one of just ten outfield positions to a non participating player?

I would agree but to be honest some of the other options offer nothing on the ball or off the ball, the simple issue is we do NOT have enough quality full stop in this squad, its NOT good enough. That is the fault of the board, and Steve Cooper who brought these players in.

I like Facundo but he gives the ball away a lot, he does press well generally. So this is my only area of contention with the manager.

However some of the others on the bench offer nothing on or off the ball unless the are in a period of being 'on form' good hair day or whatever it is they want, we simply cant carry that sort of player either. Mavididi is one such player, the other is Daka who often looks okay off the bench but is invariably is shit when he actually starts. The rest aren't even close imo. Why the hell have we wasted a years salary on a bloke who cant even make the bench? under successive managers, one who presumably chose him?

The only option is really the young players, but it is a risk as it could damage their development, especially as the step up is huge, and if our fans decide to boo a young lad who makes a mistake it could knock them back, in many ways its better to let them keep banging in goals for a little longer in the Under 23s.

Its all stuff that I think is being acknowledged and worked on but its not an overnight thing.

The basic fact remains we do NOT have a premier league squad, whatever formation, players etc we play likelihood is we get beaten. If we play a different formation and or players and get absolutely whooped because those players and that formation aren't good it further knocks confidence of the entire squad, we are looking more solid and look reasonably decent at times in possession, there's improvements. I think the view is to build a style, an identity, we are going down with this squad. Really its about how we build a sustainable model for the future. I don't know if Ruud is than man to take us forward yet but he is working as a professional in an absolute shit show, so im willing to at least wait a while and see. Ndidi is only just getting back to fitness, he does make us a bit stronger defensively so maybe that adds a bit more flexibility, but he's been back 3 games.

I don't have any confidence that this club is capable of bringing in anyone better even if he wasn't the right man and we did sack him, that is in reality the crux of the issues.

Woke up with a feeling it'll be 1-3 Brentford at HT. Didn't get a full time vibe though sorry, so you'll just have to work with that.

Everyone loves 4-3 comeback. Right...

Don't you think people are miserable enough already

That Wolves game was on my birthday as well, proper miserable end to what was a solid day.

They did make up for it nearly 20 years later with the Southampton demolition job though to be fair :D

anyone else getting a 'The quantity of tickets owned by XXX exceeds limitations...' error when trying to buy Brentford ticket? I am only buying 1 ticket for myself but keep having this error for days now. Wondering if anyone else got it and if they managed to get rid of it to complete purchase?

Have you got an expired ticket in your E wallet? I get that error message sometimes and it’s due to an expired ticket day in the deleted part of my Apple wallet, so if you’re using E tickets it may be worth checking there and removing any tickets you have in there?

I haven't got any other tickets except archived ones and the fox member pass. I managed to buy a ticket by assigning the ticket to my wife and using my own phone number/email address! Very odd. Thanks for the tip.

Travelling for this one and will be parking around 5.15 what would be best place to park for free and a quick exit please, much appreciated.

Usually park on shakespeare street, is this still good?

Got the feeling during the Arsenal match that it might finally be the day where the fans turn (as much as our flaccid fan base can). Hanging on for 80 minutes quashed that.

I don't think we'll hear anything now tonight or any game in this miserable season. Everyone seems to have given up, on and off the pitch and just resigned to the inevitable. Grim.

I'll be on my way at 3pm. Can't wait.

Parkings not bad, there’s a really long road next to the stadium that no one parks on. Traffic wardens are really accommodating, enthusiastically shouting “oi! You can park here , you don’t need to move!” Or something like that. They even started putting helpful notes on the windscreen straight away. Even more helpfully they moved the car and gave me a lift to its location when I got emotionally distressed about the situation. Only cost £40 to park there and I made the appropriate donation to the police afterwards for all there help, they said it was fine. Anyway enjoy the game and may your clapping always be happy.

I've heard that Freeman's Common is good but you'll need to leave on 70 mins

Their RB, Ajer, had been injured most of the season, and hasn't scored a goal yet.

Congratulations on your recovery & first goal Ajer.

We won’t, but I’d love to see something like this:

Hermansen

Woyo (Ayew could be a good fit for this role too)

Faes

Vestegaard

Okoli

Kristiansen

Ndidi

Soumare

Buonanotte

El Khannous

Vardy/Daka

I'd love to see Ayew at RWB, that'd be genuinely hilarious to be fair.

Won't be watching tonight, off out for a curry.

Proper lost interest in watching.

Will be sneaking views at the score though no doubt, until we are 2 down anyway. Can stop checking after 20:05.

Hoping for a surprise win, but we all know the team he will put out and what the result will be.

2 nil loss
