This is the worst because I’ve seen some shit, but even the shit players ran more than this bunch of entitled lazy *****. Honestly I cant stand most of them, then are literally bantering us.

86/87 team under Bryan Hamilton was poor but Pleat took it to new lows.
Peter Taylors squad was largely horrendous, but for sheer dislike of players, and utter shitshows, this is as bad as I’ve seen it.

I was very young when I saw my first game in the 80/81 season, can’t really remember much about the team back then.

Been taken the piss out of multiple times sticking up for certain members of this side, and have stood by it, Watching for 20 years now, the least competitive, bend over side I have seen. I hope we drop some levels so we can get some fight involved, i go for the half time beer at this point

First game in 1963, aged 9. Seen some fantastic and terrible teams, but even the worst teams had a couple of players who you felt belonged in the top division.

Sorry to say I don't think a single one is good enough for this level. ( Sad but even Vardy now, and Mads looks low on confidence). Not sure any of them would get in another PL team.

This is the worst for me. We've been shit before but with an almost 'honesty' to how bad we are. We expect to be bad, we don't expect wins but we expect some level of commitment or fight. You can barely even muster a half chance with this bunch of dossers. There's nothing to get behind and I just can't wait for it to end. If you think of how much we've fell off from our own doing, its quite incredible.

Fan since mid 90s, this season is the 1st season I've ever questioned the whole EPL thing and elite football in general, mainly due to our club and the way it's being run. So yeah, it's gotten as low as it's been for me.

Fan since 2015. This Brentford match was the worst one in my memory. I feel sorry for the fans who paid good money to witness this crap from the stands.

You can't really separate 2022/23 from this because it's the same people. That's precisely the issue. This is an accumulation of sabotage.

When we got relegated to League One, I decided I'd seen the worst thing that could ever happen to the club and I wouldn't let the negativity rule my life any more.

I'm close to feeling as negative about things now as I did back in 2008, but more importantly, I'm starting to realise that being a regular at the ground is just a waste of time...

In some respects this is worse than the mid 2000s. It was hopeless then, but we knew where we stood. This is is probably the least competitive I've seen us in relation to the league that we're playing in.

And what proceeded that was 3 top 10 finishes like this, with how it's gone you can see why some fans are bracing for a long spell in the championship.

It's just been a relentless series of one kick in the face after another, with any time you think there might be something good, it gets snatched away immediately.

Get promoted with a good manager and a likeable local academy graduate as a star player and talisman?

BOOM.

Manager gone

KDH gone

Ooh, rumours of Potter for manager?

It's Cooper

Time for a pre-season - lose every game

First half vs Spurs - don't even touch the ball.

Hey - nice - an equaliser - maybe things aren't so bad...

Sign Skipp

Sign Ayew

Lose to Fulham

Lose to Villa

Ricardo finally starting vs Forest

Lose to Forest

Ricardo's injured

Fail to score past a League 2 team

Wait weeks into the season to actually win a game

Win 2 in a row - Abdul on fire!

Abdul's ACL while away with Ghana

Lose twice to Man United in a week

Lose to Chelsea with KDH brought on for 5 minutes at the end like he's a prize you missed out on in an episode of Bullseye

Cooper finally sacked!

Fail to get a manager in for Brentford away, waste a game and get smashed to bits

Actually win a game vs West Ham!

Now Ndidi is injured

Nice comeback vs Brighton

Now Hermansen is injured

Ward in goal

Lose to Newcastle

Lose to Wolves

Finally binned Ward off

Keep Losing

January finally here, chance to strengthen

No signings

FA Cup - actually winning a game - scoring 6 goals!

Nope - fog - you'll only see 3 of them

Lose to Palace

Lose to Fulham

Cannon sold, maybe we can afford to strengthen...

No signings

Alves loaned out

Keep losing

2 nil down by the time the radio stream has loaded vs Everton

keep losing

FA Cup, exciting youngster on the bench, actually taking the lead!

Lose to 6 offside players, never get to see Monga play

Actually defend ok vs Arsenal for 80 minutes...

Lose anyway

Immediately lose the ability to defend again vs Brentford. Thrashed again.

What a miserable, miserable season. Nothing to enjoy, nothing to look forward to, any tiny glimour of hope (Fatawu, new manager bounce, January window) stomped out before your very eyes befor you even get the chance to raise your spirits even a little.

You know if they do sack Ruud, there's no chance that the replacement would be up to it either, because the Director of Eff-all and Top will be picking the replacement, and they've failed the last 2 times they've tried that this season. Even next season is nothing to look forward to - the PSR problems hang about permanently to disrupt us, anyone good will be sold to try to fill the black hole money pit that Rudkin and Glover have dug even deeper with the likes of Skipp, Okoli and Ayew.

And even if next year, we get a new top manager in by fluke, and we rebuild something good and worthwhile, like Enzo did - it only takes one summer of Rudkin and a managerial change and all that hard work can be dismantled in an instant.

Right now, the best word to describe this club is hopeless - because there is absolute nothing to give you any hope for its future for the upcoming years ahead.

Please keep adding to the list and post at end of season

Not sure if it's the worst I've ever seen or but, but one thing is for sure, the worst it's been in terms of connection with the fans, players and owners all together, never has there been a bunch of players who seemingly don't give a shite about playing for the badge and a fans who dislike the team for that reason, With the owners/hierarchy the root cause of the problem

This is bad for many reasons, but you know it's going to shit when the blue on blue starts in the stands. The true sign of toxicity.

Usually you can learn from history as all of those bad moments mentioned have been followed by good times. Even 22/23 was followed up with promotion. Can't quite see the light at the end of the tunnel yet, though.

The Mclintock  season was pretty bad ,team full of journeyman but what makes this lot worse is the don't give a **** attitude  and just take the money  ,bunch of *****.

The Mclintock season was worse than pretty bad. Pretty sure we signed Roger Davies for a club record 300k from Brugge and he was terrible. But I agree with the last bit. At least back then they were hopeless and badly managed but did at least try.  Considering how the game has changed and just how much these players get played I think this season and especially the last half dozen league games are the absolute pits for levels of performance, competitiveness and frankly effort. There were clearly players on that pitch yesterday who don't want to be at the club and were not trying.

The pleat era (but remember pleat had nowherenear the money this squad had)...but at least you could see the players trying.

This lot bar a couple are shocking beyond belief. Especially when you consider the money they're on and many have international experience.

Lurch and sideshow bob arevtwonof the worst cbs I've seen.

Letting the ball bounce in front of them ffs.

I'd be inclined to say this is the worst because about 1 in 4 games would have been live between 2001-04, less if you extend it to 2008.

Live coverage means everything is on now which makes it hard to avoid.

Even still we were medium sized under MON at best but from the heights we were at in the 10s this decline takes some beating.

Would rank the PL relegation teams I've seen:

Best 22/23 obviously. But in many ways the worst relegation because of that.

Then 03/04. Shouldn't have gone down. Poor management.

01/02 - one less point at this stage than the team this season. But would put them very slightly above because we were more competitive in some games but our confidence was shot - see Bolton away and Chelsea at home.

24/25 - diabolical. This run of home games is historically bad not just by our standards but by English football standards.

McClintock era was awful but similar in that we had journeymen & mercenary players that took us down before Jock took us back up by playing the likes of Linekar, Peake and Buchanon.

Hamilton and Pleat was awful again before Brian Little saved us.

Peter Taylor again ruined a hard working and tight knitted bunch of players built up by Martin O’Neill.

What followed was worse than this, those wilderness years before that half wit Holloway came in and took us to league 1. Pinning your hopes on Ian Humeand Zsolt Laczko!

What makes this even worse than all of that is that we have sound financial backing unlike those days and

still they can’t get it right!  Treating fans like we are rocking up at your duty free franchise shop at Phuket airport will not do Top!
