There are a few rumours online that Spurs have made contact with Glasner, I doubt Ange would drop down to us, but we absolutely should be in immediate contact if he does lose the spurs gig.

I think a number of decent people won't fancy the Leicester job for many reasons whether it be financial or unrealistic expectations.  Big name managers from abroad  like Ancelotti might sound a little more exciting than some but they won't know just how shambolic the last 9 months has been or be familiar with the players/Championship. Rosenior or Corberan would IMO be good but of course how much more compensation will Leicester be able to afford and would they be interested?

Any manager would. 

 

As for a big pool of players too. Simply because we pay stupid money

I agree Davies would be a great shout, but I think we've missed the boat with him. There's no way he'll leave a buoyant Brum, in the same Division, with all the money and promise they've got, for us at the moment!

Who do you suggest for a direct style of play, hard tackling close up aggression off the ball etc?

Plenty of coaches favour a strong press and quick transitions, if that's what you mean, and many of them will be significantly more tactically sophisticated than Dyche, whose brand of football has become obsolete.

My only issue with Dyche is that he doesn't strike me as having a great track record of bringing through younger players. None immediately spring to mind other than Dwight McNeil.

I've seen them turn their noses up at the signings of Schmeichel, Vardy, Mahrez, Huth, Fuchs, Morgan, Albrighton, Ulloa and the appointment of Pearson.

Interesting seeing Ange/Spurs post Davies as assistant too....

 

20 of spurs 31 Premier League wins under Ange came with Davies as assistant.

There is such a thing as too complex, too sophisticated.

 

We need a back to basics manager.  But I welcome you to give me some names for the quick transitional and pressing managers, then I will offer an opinion.
