markko Posted 20 April 2025 Posted 20 April 2025 I believe we need a good manager and a solid backroom staff who is not aiming for a quick fix. We need to rebuild. It is not going to be easy to shift some players because they are not worth what they are being paid.and no one else will pay the salaries. I quite like Mark Robins or someone of that type. I would like us to go for young, fast, athletic players with some strength of character. 2
Pliskin Posted 20 April 2025 Posted 20 April 2025 I think Ruud gets sacked as soon as relegation is confirmed. He is bound to have a clause in his contract.
Number 6 Posted 20 April 2025 Posted 20 April 2025 Ruud has been too bad to stick with. We need a fresh start with fresh ideas. Would like us to go for a younger manager who might be a bit riskier, though suspect we'll get a "safe" option to manage what should be one of the better squads in the division.

Nolucklcfc Posted 20 April 2025 Posted 20 April 2025 I’d like dyche just to steady the ship and stop us dropping again. Problem is he knows and is friends with Rudders

Claudio Fannieri Posted 20 April 2025 Posted 20 April 2025 Hughes has done ok at Carlisle after being pretty disappointing at Bradford, if he is anywhere near consideration as our manager then we should give up. If we are going down that route then Holloway would be under consideration for the job he has done at Swindon. The only more experienced managers I would be prepared to consider would be ones of the ilk of Tony Mowbray, where they have retained some of the good values of days gone by but are also progressive so stand the test of time. 1
Benji Posted 20 April 2025 Posted 20 April 2025 At this rate Maresca might be open to Championship round 2. And I'd bloody take him!!! 3

The fans know their own players and managers far better than people on the outside. Why would our fans have known anything about Ruud? The PSV fans were the one right about ruud

Anyone could have improved them. Holloway has done a fantastic job at Swindon in League two.... If we were genuinely looking at a manager who up until this weekend was managing the lowest placed club in the football league then we might as well give up now. RVN was a disaster, this wouldn't be much better. The sad thing is he could probably be on our shortlist. Edited 20 April 2025 by desertfox2 League two 1
Sankey93 Posted 20 April 2025 Posted 20 April 2025 Percy reckons our board are admirers of Martin Rohl Fabregas

Popular Post Legend_in_blue Posted 20 April 2025 Popular Post Posted 20 April 2025 Dyche would sort out the mentality of the players and would gladly throw some under the bus to boot. It's what's needed. 5 1
moore_94 Posted 20 April 2025 Posted 20 April 2025 I really can't see us getting Fabregas from Como Probably fight with Southampton to get Rohl And if we lose that fight we will then probably end up with Martin 1
Noahfence Posted 20 April 2025 Posted 20 April 2025 It’ll be Martin won’t it? Sign 2 players from the 9-0 side. Then appoint a manager from a club you beat 9-1 across 2 games.

Thankfully, they're even more abject than us and not exactly a paragon of good club management themselves. This is where the material things come in - we'll certainly pay him more than Sheffield Wednesday and be able to offer a better squad (stop laughing, they're cack and it's a wonder they're not in League One), so it'll come down to what he can deal with in the summer and whether he can continue integrating academy players.
Sionnach gorm Posted 20 April 2025 Posted 20 April 2025 Cesc Fàbregas seems to be a demon in taking mediocre teams up. He did wonders in Como.

I like the idea of having Rohl. Sheffield Wednesday were as good as gone when he took over, and with appalling Wednesday owners he managed to save them in style and now make them a mid table championship team. He'd be ideal for us working with what he's got more than choosing what he wants, as unfortunately I think our board will remain brain dead for this summer transfer business Edited 20 April 2025 by Tomo260
