After Dortmund and Leipzig, you'd think he would walk into a decent Bundesliga job. Hassenhüttl is apparently on the brink at Wolfsburg and they're a more attractive prospect than us in the Championship, you would think.

I'd take him, but not sure it'd be reciprocated.

Agreed, Fischer should really be the top priority!

I don't know much about his Rochdale stint tbh, only that he had among the lowest market value teams in the league (i.e. shite players) for both of his seasons there

Historically they've bounced between League 1/third division and League 2/fourth division a lot and they've since been relegated to the Vanarama so it doesn't seem to me like he was underperforming

Either way, if Ruud walks/is sacked then BBM's the most realistic internal candidate for the rest of the season

You have a point about Rochdale. Very few managers would have been able to keep them in League 1. We can't get any worse and if it gets rid of RVN, then why not until the end of the season. If he has a good relationship with a lot of the Man City youth players that he coached before then he could be worth a look. You could probably make a decent young premier league side out of the players that won't quite make it to the Man City first team. We did very well in the past with that model from Man Utd at the time (Drinkwater, James, Simpson, RDL) under Pearson.

Dave Challinor's record warrants a top end Championship job, he'd be my preference if Nigel isn't ready for spell three.

tbf thats a good shout but honestly dont think the club knows what League 1 or under is, plus he isnt a "heard of" name

or Rangers, i reckon its one of the 2

I hope one of you is right. Our board needs saving from itself.

The problem is that they panic if they don't get their first choice - hence Potter to Cooper in about two minutes.

tbf i think Martin and Rangers is a good shout, does a good job there be in the frame for a number of jobs then

kinda like with what rodgers did with celtic

and as long as he dont come here

I can see him doing well there and an ambitious midtable club getting excited because of the style of play, thinking he's learned from his time at Southampton.

Can’t see us paying out or them wanting to come to us on Rohl or Roseinor.
My preference after those two are Fischer, Quique Sanchez Flores or Priske.

Rosenior is a non-starter if Strasbourg make Europe.

If they don't, it could be interesting with Ligue 1 in a bit of a financial mess.

He's worked wonders at Hartlepool and Stockport.  It's a good shout albeit very unlikely. If he keeps on going the way he is then he will end up managing in the Prem eventually.

Needs to be someone who can change the environment and culture of the club. I think Enzo had started to do this but this season has set us back even further. I would want a young, fresh manager with no fear. Would not want Dyche but can see the rationale for this.

Fischer. Simply for the Swiss element. Been missing for too long since the Berner days (Inler was unfortunately just a blip in the grand scheme of things).

But in all honesty, man can manage. What he did at Union was nothing short of amazing. We need that kind of (fighting) spirit.

Said before, we need to go into this season bold, with the intention to bully the league. No pragmatic approach, go out with intent to destroy teams. Tons of goals, flair, aggression.

Don't think Dyche, or Martin would be right for this, even though both would probably get us promoted. I like the idea of Rohl though there's the danger that it's too big a job for him. Also like Cifuentes for Champ experience though he hasn't kicked on with QPR this season. Rosenior is also a decent shout I think.

Don't worry the way the club is being run they will become very familiar with league 1 very soon

Very true  .. Best form of defence is attack and being as our defence is so poor we need to go for the throat from the get go ... not pi55 about with the 30 passes before going over the halfway line rule

Dyche is just the kneejerk reactionary choice for those who think the players need to be punished and run into the ground. They can be 'punished' by being shipped out forthwith.

The players who remain need a philosophy, a playing style for modern football and future planning. We may get promotion under Dyche playing the worst football you have ever seen, but would have the exact same problems afterwards because he's Steve Cooper with better PR.
