But you’re just making an assumption with baseless evidence. Dwight McNeil came through because he was rightfully deemed good enough. The majority of the rest ended up in League 1, League 2, Scotland, Ireland and Australia because they simply weren’t Premier League standard.

The facts also are that he’s showed willingness to use players under 24, and developed some really decent players in doing so. But as I’ve said, you’ll get both ends of the spectrum with Dyche, a cluster of younger players and a bunch of heavily experienced ones

What is the “certain way” that Leicester City has been set up to play though? Because I don’t see one and neither do most of our fanbase.

If we wanted more continuity, then I expect to see us go back to a possession plan.

So why weren’t our fans advocating for Russell Martin? Because his possession style is fvcking boring and our fanbase would rather see something different.

If we want another possession based manager, then Carrick is a good alternative. But why on earth would we want a manager who got progressively worse at Middlesbrough, couldn’t set up a defence, got criticised for being too “soft” and thought it would be a good idea to replace Emmanuel Latte Lath with Kelechi Iheanacho.

did he even give the other youth players a go? not really

of course he will if hes brought them in as i said, which we might not be able to do,meaning from within, which he doesnt do alot at all

a certain way, well its pretty easy to see by the type of managers weve got etc, puel, rodgers, enzo, rvn, they like to dominate the ball etc, if fans cant see that then i wonder

dyche just isnt the man to progress the players we have at the club atm

Carrick could be, if hes learnt, but as you said he got worse year on year

all in all tho its looking like we are getting a new manager purely for the fact someRVN backroom are going etc

It isn’t far for them to move/commute.

Its a good pay rise for the lot of them and a logical next step.

If Rohl was going the Bundesliga he would’ve gone by now.

We’ve obviously already been linked with Rohl himself but also Pedersen.

Powell lives close by and I think would love to come Back here. His appearances on BBC RL are fairly telling IMO.

The fact the club are set to get some money for a couple of our coaches also adds weight, for me.

I don’t see us paying Ruud off and then paying out for them.
I know we’ll get compensation for Murphy and the gk coach but with our financial situation imo it’ll be someone out of work.

Once we’re into July we will be able to pay compensation if it’s required.

Would you seriously give youth players minutes just for the sake of it, despite knowing they are not ready for Premier League football?

Put it this way, I’ll use one of Burnley’s youth players at the time in Dan Agyei as an example, he is currently with Wellens at Leyton Orient. If he were our player in the 17/18 season, would you have given him minutes with Vardy, Okazaki and even Iheanacho in the team? Of course you wouldn’t. Burnley loaned Agyei out that season to both Walsall and Blackpool, he scored 4 for Walsall, 0 for Blackpool, what does that tell you? And the majority of youth players at Burnley during that time were far worse than Dan Agyei.

But Dyche absolutely hates youth right? If you actually looked at their squads during his time, instead of making baseless assumptions, then as I’ve said before, you’ll quickly realise why Dwight McNeil was the only one who came through.

As for our style of play, I see you left out Steve Cooper’s name there. What happened with his appointment?

Oh yeah, the board showed themselves up as having no continuity plan.

Ok. I’m still not convinced we’ll get Rohl.
Can see him going somewhere else before then.

Ooh how we differ to Brentford fans
Brentford fans thanking Frank for getting them into the promise land & securing their 2 highest ever finishes in 9th & 10th position
Leicester fans Rodgers is a *&^%

We should be on our hands and knees for the manager who oversaw the worst decline in our history!

I think there is fixation that because youth players are doing well in their matches that they can automatically do so for the first team and the team will be exciting and successful. Dyche was tasked with getting Burnley promoted and fighting above their weight to stay up. If he had players that could make the step up why wouldn't he have used them? It's all very well taking a long term view but we all know the pressure to pick up points and to compete

club was too tight to go for Corberan; why i dont trust the club in terms of managers, they have ones out there that are good enough, suit us, but they are too tight to go for them

Or is the current manager not really the manager and the next manager is really the manager now but doesn't know it yet and we are all confused by actually who is ... was or maybe the next manager ... ???

The fact of the matter is, not every Premier League and Championship clubs are blessed with good academies. Leicester City might have a bunch of players ready for the first team, but Burnley for example might not. In Dyche’s era, they were a category two academy, their academy before Dyche came in wasn’t great, it’s only until new ownership in 2020 that improvements have been made.

Many young players of course go out on loan to League 1 and 2, as it’s seen as the right thing to do for their development. Monga and Evans might be ready for our first team, but a chunk of our academy players will probably get loaned out for this coming season, it’s just the nature of football.

There’s teams and leagues across Europe that pride themselves on youth development, I always use Sunderland and them getting Regis Le Bris as the perfect example, it looked a surprising appointment, but the way their club operates, the appointment made perfect sense.

If Leicester City appointed Sean Dyche, it’s impossible to say how he’d view some of our academy players, because at Burnley the evidence suggests, that the talent just wasn’t at his disposal to use. There’s about 40 development/academy players listed in their squads during his era, only 3 have made it at Premier League or Championship level. Dwight McNeil, Jimmy Dunne and Bobby Thomas.

That tells you everything about the quality of Burnley’s academy.

Right now, unless there's stuff going on behind the closed KP doors of power. I'd expect Kingy to be on the sideline for these 2 friendlies announced at Seagrave

Ruud announced as on gardening leave as he won't take the pay off and us unable to appoint anyone of note cuz we are skint

Carrick just feels inevitable to me.

Seems like he ticks too many of the boxes not to be under serious consideration - recent domestic experience, plays the sort of football KP prefer, big enough reputation for him to be on their radar and, perhaps most importantly, out of work

Hate this comment “He has experience” It’s bollocks.

Experience of failure.

Soon as he speaks to Ruud he will not touch us anyway.

This is untrue. PSR constraints mean we probably can’t pay compensation before the end of June. But we will be able to from July.

We are so far in the smelly stuff because of mismanagement. They just don’t have a clue how to get out of it.

I don't necessarily disagree but of the permanent appointments made under the current ownership only Ranieri didn't have recent coaching experience in the UK, so it seems reasonable to conclude that it's something they value whether we agree with that or not

Because Rodgers inherited an excellent squad of players, demolished it whilst spending £250m in the process and with the exception of Fofana, none of his and Congerton's choices made the grade. He changed recruitment, medical, coaching and various other staff behind the scenes and is largely responsible for the poosition we now find ourselves in. Admittedly, some of this could have been mitigated had we not got the useless Top in charge of the club.

Spot on Summery

Rodgers set our club back 5 years minimum.
