The midfield looks good but Daka is absolute dog muck. If we go into this season with him as our main striker we won't be getting even playoffs.

If it’s Rohl, he seems to go with a target man like striker who can hold the ball up, while also having the ability to work hard out of possession.

If it’s Dyche, we’ll probably also see a target man like striker.

Very good at Braga during his couple of latest spells there and has experience in England

Been pretty impressive at Braga both times, not sure why he's just left as they were very good last season.

Also the only time Sheffield

Wednesday resembled a football team (apart from under Rohl) since the 1990’s was when he was there.

Where do they get the balls to challenge every manager. I don’t get it. It’s incredible how low the standards at the club are.

Almost like we've got a little nepo baby who's desperate to be pals with some footballers as chairman

Exactly this. His father cultivated relationships with senior players but I bet all parties knew where they stood. Being called ‘The Boss’ wasn’t a meme. It was lauded in the media at the time as being the right way an owner should lead a club, hands on rather than how the Glazers did things at Manure.

Aiyawatt’s attempts to follow his father's approach to player relationships comes across as craven and desperate. It was reported he called out the players after sacking Cooper, that worked didn’t it!

The fact they all loved Rodgers kept him here longer too

(When I say all, I mean the ones Top spoke too)

Lee Carsley shot up to 5/1, I swear he was over 20/1 yesterday 🤔🤔🤔

This is only thing I could find they are talking about Leicester.

Someone’s put about £2 on it for that change.

Carsley coming in off a winning the U21 euros, I wouldn't hate it

That is why we have delayed announcing Carsley, out of respect for the U21s.

He will be announced on Monday.

Carsley actually put a decent run of performances together against quality opposition.

Not seen an England men's team manager do that for a VERY long time..

“Take the long way to see Top, if you wanna employ Rohl.

Carsley signed a new 2 year deal earlier this month with the U21’s

Not saying it would happen but you'd think it would be easier to negotiate with the FA than Chansari.

Don't hate the idea of Carsley at all he plays some entertaining stuff with the U21s.

Whether it would work at league level is yet to be seen but Bothroyd and Southgate have done pretty well after the setup.

They interviewed Carsley 2 or 3 times before RVFN got the job is what I'd heard. He was Rudkin's preferred choice but starry eyed Top went for the king plonker.

If he was interested then the timing now would make a bit more sense

I think you overestimate the forward planning and strategy of the whole management hierarchy...it has not been evident over recent seasons.

I cannot see Carsley even considering City; joining a club in turmoil with no league experience would not be a good career move. He has a record of doing well with talented players who are somewhat lacking at City.

England lost at home to Greece under Carsley playing without a recognised striker.

He experimented for one game in a way that everyone seemed happy about before kick-off, then it backfired. One failed experiment does not make him s bad manager.

Danny Rohl , Chris Powell plus Andy King is an intelligent coaching team, and one that I feel will certainly with the right playing personnel : striker , CB and Ndidi replacement plus a KDH replacement aside I feel challenges for automatic promotion even with a hefty ish points deduction.
