The ITK who said the Russell Martin rumour was rubbish says we don’t have money to pay for Rohl’s compensation so that move only happens if he agrees a buy out with them. Also likely to rely on free transfers.

Apart from fact it wasn't rubbish and it sounded like we offered him job

He was supposedly interviewed and offered the job several weeks before RvN was informed he was going and sacked. From the other things Martin's pal has said, it is not surprise Brussell had concerns about taking the job.

The positives are he was told the club is up for sale and that we don't think the points deduction will be significant so promotion is still the aim/expectation. (Deluded?)

Thanks Ric interesting info

If it’s true about the club being up for sale, I could see that turning some managers off. If it’s also true we’re still flirting with Dyche then I’d rather us just appoint Kingy and see how we get on. Dyche can not be manager of this football club with all the talented youth we have on our books.

maybe this is the dream, as we might finally see Rudkin on his bike, doesnt feel like top would

Pretty much everything Ric has said is the same at which I was told, apart from the fact that RM had assurances they would be moving Rudkin on, the club up for sale wasn't something that was mentioned, although that seems more plausible. I was also told RM pulled the plug when we delayed on sacking RVN, the second time we have left him waiting after leading him on before we appointed Maresca.

Russell Martin was offered the job and this has come direct from Martin's best friend, which i'm not sure why he would make that up.

Because people like to feel important and have people hanging on their every word.

I’ve got no problem with Dyche per se, and what he does can be very effective. Unfortunately what he does is almost the polar opposite from the squad we have so it just doesn’t seem like a good fit. Even more so if we’re skint and won’t be able to bring many in.

If we can’t get Rohl or dyche I really don’t think the other options (that the club would consider) are any less risky than Andy king.

Quite simply, id prefer King to be given a wild card shot over O’Neil, wilder, carrick or Gerrard and tbqh I actually think he’d do better than any of them. He’s obviously intelligent and the youth will play for him and that will be huge this season.  If it’s really shit to the wall, than king is probably the option.

I don’t want to sit through interviews every week hearing about how you have more points than you do. Wilder wouldn’t shut up about the deduction, it was tragic

There has been more exposure to Dyche.

No wonder we can’t get a manager if that’s what Rudders is doing.

Given the youth and patterns of play today I can’t see them going for Dyche, Wilder etc but if we really are fcuked with lack of cash I could see Rudders and Top going for Kingy.

It was mentioned on here a few weeks ago we were up for sale and mara family of NY giants were interested. Cabt remember who put it. They'd be good owners

We will pull away from Rohl and it will actually be Wednesdays doing I think. I bet they are being very difficult. Annoying really as I think he is the right call. I reckon they will have moved on now.

I love king but he should not be considered at all. People want him cos they think he’s a nice bloke. Do we even know if he is a good coach or wants to be a manger? Wake up, we need a manager of a football team. King may well go on to be one but current is not even a football manager!

Yeah possibly but the situation on how this conversation arose, i'm not sure why his mate would be gobbing off like that about us. We're hardly a topic worth being economical about the truth with.

It's a few unconnected people that have said sone similar things now.

I saw that on here too, but I don't think there was a source other than random speculation that could have been someone making stuff up.

I don't like the idea of American owners but they seem like the best option if we were looking stateside.
