I know nothing about their real life personalities, but they've been less shit on the pitch than Coady/Faes or Soumare...

I said 'better' at first but that seemed too much praise! Would love to see the back of the lot of them.

They are 'better' because they havent played for a little while. Jannick was absolute dog turd against West Ham, and appeared to refuse to be playing the teams tactics playing west ham attackers onside and giving away an own goal. Yet, don't play him for a few weeks and he's the better option all of a sudden.

Can't polish a turd, but we can stop playing some of them.

Mads

Ricardo Veste Okoli Thomas

Winks Ndidi Skipp

Buona BEK

Vardy

:dunno:

Sorry is that your line up or all the turds?

Given that champions league qualification may end up being decided by goal difference you’d have thought Newcastle would see this as a stand out game to score a few as someone mentioned earlier.

No "all of a sudden" about it, I've absolutely hated Wout Faes for years! Can't wait for the day he leaves the club.

Agree that Vestegaard is rubbish, but IMO he's still better than Faes or Coady.

TBF I'd be happy seeing whoever out best U21 centre back is ahead of them all.

Well Newcastle have 2 games in hand over forest, win them both, and the pressure could  seriously be on 3rd place (1 point behind)

But since every time somebody gets close to a chance to catch to forest (Chelsea.. man city) they bottle it... so using this theory

We might actually win or draw tomorrow 🤔 🤣🤣

Right, decided that we're not going. Two more empty seats tomorrow. Just can't cope with yet another non-competitive match and traipsing out being serenaded by away fans up Raw Dykes Road. It's all too much.

Rob Jones will referee Newcastle United's Premier League game at Leicester City on Monday night (kick-off 8pm BST).

I think this will be my last game . Just before ST deadline so expect a rip roaring performance with plenty of youth players involved to give us some hope.

I've just asked AI what Leicester need to do to beat Newcastle tomorrow and have decided AI can do a better job than Ruud... here is the response which is much better than any Ruud press conference

Current Situation of Leicester City
Leicester City is currently facing a dire situation in the Premier League. As of April 2025, they sit in 19th place with only 17 points, having lost their last eight matches across all competitions and failing to score in their last seven home league games. Their goal difference stands at -42, indicating significant defensive weaknesses and an inability to convert chances into goals

1. Defensive Resilience
Leicester must significantly improve their defensive performance. They have conceded an average of 2.3 goals per game over their last ten matches. To secure a win against Newcastle, who have been scoring consistently, Leicester needs to tighten their defense and avoid individual errors that lead to goals.

2. Offensive Output
Leicester has struggled offensively, averaging only 0.2 goals per game in their last ten matches4. For them to win against Newcastle, they need to create more scoring opportunities and convert those chances effectively. This includes utilizing key players like Jamie Vardy and Patson Daka more effectively in attack.

3. Midfield Control
Controlling the midfield will be crucial for Leicester. They need to disrupt Newcastle’s playmakers like Bruno Guimarães and Sandro Tonali while also providing support for their forwards. Winning the midfield battle can help Leicester retain possession and create attacking opportunities.

4. Utilizing Home Advantage
Playing at King Power Stadium could provide a psychological boost for Leicester. They need to leverage this advantage by starting strong and maintaining high energy levels throughout the match. Engaging the home crowd early can create a supportive atmosphere that may help lift the team’s performance.

5. Injury Management
Leicester’s squad depth is limited due to injuries and suspensions5. Ensuring that key players are fit and available will be essential for fielding a competitive lineup against Newcastle. If Harry Winks can return from his absence, it would bolster their midfield options significantly.

6. Tactical Adjustments
Manager Ruud van Nistelrooy may need to implement tactical changes that focus on counter-attacking football or a more compact formation that prioritizes defense while looking for quick transitions into attack6. This could involve playing with two strikers or adjusting the formation based on player availability.

Conclusion
For Leicester City to beat Newcastle United, they must improve defensively, increase offensive output, control the midfield, utilize home advantage effectively, manage injuries wisely, and make necessary tactical adjustments during the match.

These are exactly the sort of side who could genuinely hammer us. They way they set up and their physicality and speed, I'd be amazed if we muster an xG more than 0.02 again.

It's a shame the U21s won't be streamed tonight as I'm away in London so will just follow the updates for that and leave the first team slobs well alone.

I cant get to this as I have tickets for a 'do' in Brum.  The show is called ' Only Fools and Horses'........ The title could be used for both events, couldn't it? !

So many empty seats available still. And that isn't counting the season ticket holders that aren't going.

It's going to be the lowest attendance for a few years I think

Which is what this club deserves at the moment
