Wellens, Gallagher, Marshall, off the top of my head were all Pearson signings and all still lived that way. Tom Kennedy did but he's a different case as he signed for Pearson but then Pearson left.

They were all from the North, but i was sure he insisted they live down here. No reference for it either way except AI insisting that every player lives in Blaby so I bow down on to your better knowledge.

I had it in my head that well end, Nugent and schmeichel did as they were here before NP.

He’s not, he’s stunk the place out this season, he works in an Enzo system, but anything else he doesn’t. If we can get anything for him, sell him.

They’ve all stunk the place out. Which midfielders do we have that are better footballers than Winks? Ndidi perhaps but other than that?

Pearson never had an issue with lads doing this and we had a lot making the commute from the North West and I don't think attitudes were really questioned then (apart from Ben Marshall).

Pearson had a few issues with Drinkwater but he knew how to handle him

I am up for giving RvN a chance to rebuild, set his standards. He’s barely had any support. Not even his own backroom staff for much of his tenure. We need a clear out and a change of culture. Sounds like he’s up for it. That’s admirable. If he adds in a bit of pragmatism on match days rather then being wed to a dicking ‘philosophy’ which seems to be trendy now, no matter the results, he might come good.

He might come good !! What are you on.

He’s not the only person to ever have a baby and be expected to get on with his job.

in fact if he’s involved in the night time wakes (which I highly doubt) then even more important a highly paid sportsman gets a good nights rest.

once a week is all that is asked. It just shows the can’t be bothered mentality.

Marshall and Kennedy have both said they did this and referenced who else was involved, Wellens got himself a car to be able to bring them all. You could argue it's decent for relationships spending x amount of time together as a group

If you’ve listened to Ben Marshall’s very funny ‘under the cosh’ episode his issues weren’t related to commuting. His problems were drinking and shagging 😂

Nuge moved local but the rest commuted with no problems.

Agree asking Winks to stay over for a night doesn't seem excessive. I wonder how he was asked and how much the manager engages with some of the players particularly with the lack of squad rotation

Winks is sh1t(Great at side to side passing) Cant believe some of our fans w@nk off to w1nks!

Winks is toxic. From his love of Enzo which is ****ing weird to his want to only play one way. He needs to go in the summer alongside many others.

Hopefully, this pushes him out the door. One less waster on £5m/year, not good enough for the Prem.

About time the club stood up to players treating the City as a nuisance.

I say you either live here and take in the culture of Leicester/Leicestershire and it's people or **** off if it's not up to scratch.

Sick of people commuting from London or Manchester. People wonder why players look like they don't care or don't want to be here and it's because the simple fact of the matter is they don't care and they don't want to be here.

Even if they're not commuting from London or Manchester they're mainly living in Nottingham though. Nobody is signing for us and thinking I'll go and live in town. Even Hamza who's a Leicestershire lad lives in Nottingham. Fairly sure RVN has chosen Notts for his base too.

At least when at Belvoir Drive the players actually sometimes went near the city. James Maddison, Harvey Barnes, Andy King etc were often in town even if just bowling or having coffee a few years back.  Even Claudio lived in Stoneygate. Now other than a match day going to the stadium, I very much doubt it would happen. They could be playing for anyone. Don't think they give any kind of f*** about LCFC or Leicester or its fans or community.

Im with harry winks. Who wants to sleep over at work. Ruud on a power trip. Time to go. King/vardy I'm charge next season, with Pearson on the phone when needed.

This is just posturing from RVN. Winks has been allowed to do this since he joined the club without a problem, and we've got a long track record of players doing this kind of thing in the past - i.e. Schmeichel. There's people in my office that commute in two days a week, if work tried to change that there would be uproar - presenteeism for the sake of it does nothing to improve results in any business. I don't know what difference sleeping over at the training ground would make as opposed to driving there in the morning.

I do think that standards are a disgrace at this club, and the players' attitudes stink - but leaking this stuff to the press to make yourself look like some kind of authoritarian hardman does nothing. Bet the players ****ing hate him. Real leaders with real authority would never do shit like this.

Being extremely kind to Winks here but.. He was signed to play a specific role in a possession heavy system under Enzo.

It's not his fault the idiots in charge replaced Enzo with haram ball Cooper. And again with whatever it is Ruud's tried to achieve. They (Rudkin, Cooper) really should have loaned him out the moment they threw a style out the window and knew it would massively alienate some of the players.

The terms he joined us on have changed... They (Rudkin, Cooper) obviously allowed him to commute, so yeah asking him to stay over for a night really depends on the why, which we don't know and won't know. He trained last week when he could legally stay at home...  And doesn't look axed here.

He has a new baby so maybe that's why? At the end of the day though he is employed to do a job which is funding his family! One night a week isn't a lot to ask.....

That's the most likely reason. However, he has an income that would allow the kind of assistance money can buy. If it's because of emotional issues one can understand the two-way pull, but he should understand that Spurs didn't want him and he chose to work for City.

Commuting long distances has become usual these days, but I don't think it's a good idea. Driving 200 miles a day can't be good for a player's well-being. The commitment should include moving into the club's area. There are implications for the family, but plenty of blokes (trying not to be sexist here) work away and return at weekends etc. Playing for a club is more than just working for a firm. The club shows commitment to the player, he or she should be prepared to commit to the club - which includes the coaching staff.

He’s barely featured this season, and then he has he has been dog shit, I agree, none of them have been any good, but Winks doesn’t get any sympathy from me, regardless of the child V commute argument. His antics with the “Enzo” sign just proves the kind of character he is, the kind of toxic attitude that’s contributed to our disgraceful season.

He is getting on with his job - as far as I know he hasn't missed any training sessions? If I commuted from Leicester to London for work and they suddenly asked me to stay over in a hotel for one night a week for no discernible reason, then you can bet I would have a problem with it. What's the point? What's the difference between waking up at the training ground and starting training at 9am, vs commuting in and starting at 9am? It's pointless posturing from RVN and it is what a weak leader's idea of authority is.

If people applied any of this logic to a normal job, you'd see how mental you're all being. Its a very cushy job, but at the end of the day it's a job. Don't get up in the night and look after your kid so you can be well rested for work? ****ing hell. I think Winks is shit and I don't like him, but there is much more to life than football and looking after your kids is definitely one of those things.

Being hung out to dry. Smoke screen for the ineptitude of Top, Rudders, RVN and will only justify selling him to Leeds when they go up and we come down for less than we paid.

Comments around JV being taken off at half time are borne out of the same Deflection manuscript.

Next week will be another Okoli boot type scandal.

Club stinks.

Heard from a few sources that he's part of a clique down there of senior players who basically run the club.

Under the Little and MON reign, all players had to live in a 20 mile radius.

These show pony's do not care one bit about LCFC or have any interest in relating to the community.

LCFC is there employer, simples.

Agreed and to add, this has come out AFTER his allowed paternity leave, where he's been seen in training, so like many other footballers for whatever reason... he didn't take it.

AND...are we really going to ignore Rudkin, Top, the media team flew out to the Netherlands to get Ruud, then speak with Ruud THERE, in his house for interviews. Which means the club allowed him a period of ''''transition'''' to get his arse to Seagrave.

He then SAT in the stands and watched us get destroyed by Brentford when he absolutely could have been on the touchline.

For example this season alone,.Graham Potter joined West Ham on Thursday morning, took training Thursday afternoon, then was managing on the touchline the next day where he said: "When I'm here, I'd like to be there and be on the side of the pitch, that's what we're here for" which almost feels like a diss to Ruud. It was ****ing quicker for Ruud to get a flight here than for Winks to drive to work.

So dont you ****ing talk about standards you hypocrite piece of shit, you prioritised your house, your family, instead of managing a premier league game. Winks is training when he's legally allowed to take parental leave. **** off.

If the agreement when Winks signed that he can commute then that is what is agreed, if his levels and standards have dropped and the manager asks for him to reduce his commuting to help raise his performances, then it should certainly be considered, however given the timing, it coinciding with the birth of his daughter then you have to question the timing, it seems to me to be a PR move by RVN and his team to deflect away from his disastrous spell in charge, this is the third leak regards standards at the club and IMO this is damage limitation from his team now the writing is on the wall, reckon he will be gone after Monday night.
