I just want to see something different. If we now go full on academy mode I can back it. Rip out all the overpaid, average crap that we’ve got hanging around.

Stolarczyk, Nelson, Thomas, Alves, Monga, Evans

Throw them in amongst an experienced spine who want to be here.

Forget about who and what age, create a culture of personal responsibility, with a strong leadership at its core.

Whoever writes long missives, like the one right above, you are thoroughly delusional. Go on a long walk, enjoy your day, do some home projects; stay away from this place for a week, see how you fare. That's what I'll be doing. Because it is all over.

Top doesn't give a flying **** about people like you and me. We are but serfs that make unneeded noises and smell bad. Nothing else.

This is your post-mortem.

It's the Leicester Mercury, it's kind of their job...

We've been relegated a record 14 times and this along with the Mclintock year have been the worst.

And how many times have we been promoted?

I predict next season to be worse. I think the club will approach it with pure arrogance, put little effort into swiftly sacking Ruud and hiring a new manager. And we won’t do whats necessary to refresh the team. Top and his band of clowns will be complacent heading into the season just expecting promotion will happen.

If we don’t start making changes today, tomorrow will be darker yet.

I can genuinely see another relegation, only then will the club start to take the situation seriously in my opinion. Pray to be wrong, but when your owner and DOF are spotted sniggering on the day you officially fall, is not the sort of leadership that’s ready to take this on again.

My totally subjective review of our current situation.

We've got:

 A useless owner,
 A useless Director of Football,
A useless recruitment and contract negotiation team,
A useless CEO who couldn't get a stadium expansion completed during the Club's most successful era,
A pathetic tinpot mentality sticking with clappers a decade after their sell-by date,
An insane ticketing system forcing most season ticket holders to use NFC mobile ticketing, even when they don't want it.
 A useless Manager,
Forwards that can't score goals (apart from Vardy),
Midfielders who can't control the ball or pass it to someone in the same coloured shirt,
Defenders that can't stop the opposition scoring lots of goals,
A goalkeeper who since he's been injured can't seem to make the great saves he had been doing,
A squad of players collectively devoid of any physicality, mental strength or counter-attacking speed,
A boring stadium that's just a copy of Southampton's, except with blue seats instead of red.
An apathetic home fanbase that leaves the game well before the end, whether we're winning, drawing or losing.
A closed-shop Season-ticket/Members only neutered away fanbase, that prevents any of the million+ Leicestershire people from attending.

and anything else you can think of ...    I'm sure I've missed off quite a bit

"apart from the sanitation, the medicine, education, etc etc ... everything's fine."

Seriously though. On the upside, we've got:
A good legal team who were able to exploit a loophole to avoid us getting a points deduction - not that it's made any difference,
An excellent training facility, somewhere nicely in the County well away from the City - not that it's made any difference.

Everything that could have possibly gone wrong did.

- manager left and took player of the season with him

- appointed awful replacement

- hideous summer transfer window

- injuries to Fatawu & Ricardo (long-term) Ndidi and Hermansen (short term)

- sacked terrible manager, replaced him with worse one

- no January transfer window

- players forgot how to score or defend

- players fall out with manager

- relegated without and ounce of effort

- forest to get in Europe and Leeds promoted (possibly Coventry too)

- impending EFL punishment

Have I missed anything?

Almost perfect - we just need a front page scandal of a pre season tour where we racially abuse someone during a sex fuelled party 👌

Hindsight being 20/20, was sacking Cooper the thing that buggered us up royally? Do you think we may have got a few more points with him in charge, or was it just a shite replacement in Ruud who had impressed the board by beating us twice with a United team and his time slowly breaking down PSV?

Even if he had he was the wrong choice, just look at Reed and Ayew. Just another cog in the topsy turvy thinking by this board.

There was no future with him as proven at Forest.

You’ve sort of captured it, but players not trying (I’m thinking Everton away) should make it in there. I saw players not engaging or moving toward the ball, or even trying. It’s about as traumatic as it gets for a football supporter.

Relegation is one thing. Especially with the way the financial rules are now set up. 9 home defeats without scoring is quite another. That's not a post 1992 PL record. It's something no English club has ever done. Humiliating, disgraceful, contemptible. They should be barred from playing and coaching in the top flight again. The only sliver of comfort I take from it is that many of them won't after this season.

That's my issue, not that we were relegated but the manner it happened.

22/23 was probably the worse relegation because it was so so avoidable and because it set us back potentially for years. But the performances this season are beyond anything I thought I would ever witness. Jaw droppingly bad at times, like somebody letting his nephew beat him at FIFA by deliberately being bad.

I was there for the 77/78 season and also the Pleat years. This has been the WORST ever. LTID

Cooper's points per game would have put us on 31/32 if he maintained it - which would have got us relegated. He was getting progressively worse in the run up to his sacking, as showcased in the 2 games Vs Man Utd. Almost every bad quality Ruud has, Cooper had as well:

Defensive lineups? Check

Inability to keep a clean sheet? Check

Would pick Danny ward as 2nd choice keeper? Check

Ignoring Mavididi? Check

Ignoring one of Bilal or buononotte? Check

Picking Ayew or bdcr? Check

Sending team out incredibly passive until 2-0 down? Check

Only won 2 games? Check

Lack of substitutions when chasing games? Check

Abysmal xg? Check.

Falling out with players? Check

All this revisionist thinking, completely forgetting all the horrific performances. Man couldn't even win a pre season game, and when he flukes the Bournemouth win he ended a run of over half a season with us and forest where he hadn't won a game.

The only managerial change that might have saved us this season was if Enzo stayed and we weren't forced to take 2 spins of Rudkin roulette to appoint a pair of wasters.

I’d love to get in a time machine and travel to the year 2055, because around 20-30 years is the time when it becomes acceptable for those who were there to talk about what happened. Although to be fair I see Fryatt is talking openly about the madness of the Holloway spell, so maybe we’ll only have to wait 17 years or so.

Hah - calling them 'performances' is too much :P

Now that, that, could just be the catalyst for something massive to happen.
