Lots on this forum have been desperate for a squad overhaul, "drain the swamp" etc. can't complain of Rudkin actually starts to move players on.

 

Admittedly I'll be less impressed if his inactivity in terms of signings to replace them remains as it is.

Yes indeed, this activity we’d be extremely happy at this being done at the open of the window. But it’s being cut fine and we can’t trust they’ll even reinvest. Time will tell but it’s the hope that kills you.

Kristiansen is proper crap isn't he? I don't know what we weere thinking with that signing. £17M for a downgrade on Luke Thomas. The mould for modern full backs is pace, dynamism, big engine, ability to cross the ball, ability to defend 1v1. He has very little of that going on and is about as slow as two mating turtles.

Tbh I'm more interested in us selling players we don't want them I am in worrying about whether we replace them. If we have to have a season of playing youth players and not being very good, then so be it.

Why? We desperately need to trim the squad and we’re getting rid of the players that we should be getting rid of. How is that preparing for several seasons in the Championship?

Dangerous game. Could end up stuck here for 10+ years or even drop down to League 1 for a season or two. 

I agree with selling most of these players, but we are still left with some absolute rubbish and have only signed a 38 year old GK.
