I must confess I haven't followed much of the post-season fall out on here, but is the general understanding that something happens today?

Even by our standards to have nothing in place by now is pretty shambolic.

Very tentative news and definitely isn't confirmed, so take it for what it is. Possible that the Rohl saga is coming to an end imminently and we might even get a couple of quid out of the deal. Trying to find out more. Very important to get this done and be able to move on. #SWFC

think Wednesday probably paid certain "players" and not others

by players i mean sellable assets

real sad state of affairs at Weds, good club and fans being ruined by a complete and utter clown

Don't worry, PSR will save them!

You know what, I think I'd take Bannan on a year long deal, I think at the very least he'd be good in the dressing room. Definitely someone who can come on and have a positive impact with 20-30 mins to go as well.

Class hair as well tbf.

That front tuft has been doing some heavy lifting for years now lol

It’s a metaphor for our football club. The front tuft won’t be around forever so the back needs some reinforcements.

I am naive.  I expected an announcement by now today

I think it will be announced that he is leaving Sheffield Wednesday today to pursue an opportunity elsewhere and then announced by us tomorrow.

He's still odds against with bookies to come here, surely not that close?

The bookies should never be held as an indicator of anything.

The assumption being made is that Danny Rohl is our target, who is stuck in the middle of a saga at Sheffield Wednesday and is trying to get out of his contract. At present, it would take a £1m payment to buy him out of that contract.

So now that it's July 1st, and we're in a new financial year, Leicester City are now able to authorise that payment and put it on the books.

The reason that this assumption is being made is because it is the only reasonable explanation as to why we've been waiting so long to make any moves.

This of course, is being hopeful that there isn't an unreasonable explanation to the long wait, which would be that the people in charge and incompetent, and have only just started to look.

Bookies odds are based on the money that people are putting on, not on the actual probability of the event happening.

The media is still pushing this Dyche story despite Tanner saying that he isn't a target, so misinformed idiots are likely throwing money on him still.

Does Tanner also count as a ‘misinformed idiot’?

Did Percy also not say that Dyche isn't a target or did I imagine that?

I said before, I can't see it ever being Dyche while Top has the final say.

Have people lost their minds or has this situation sent people over the edge? Barry Bannan? 🤪

I'd see him very much in the Solano/Berner/Hammond/Phillips role.

Experienced head on a short term contract who won't necessarily expect to start, but can still very much do a good job. Someone who will help massively with the cluster of young players I'd be expecting us to be using this season. Whether he'd even fancy having that role is another question. If he was up for it though, it'd be very shrewd on our part.

Yep if I put £1k on Wilder (😀 @jamesmilner ) then the odds will decrease for Wilder. I could be just a buffoon taking a wild bet.

Not sure about what Tanner's stance is but categorically Percy has said Dyche isn't being considered.

Edited to add...
Under no circumstances would I be willing to offer more than £25k a week. Throw in some assist/goal bonuses and be very clear that it's a 1 year deal. We can guarantee he will be paid every month though, which is an upgrade.

£25k a week for Barry Bannan? lol

We're cooked.

lol going rate these days.

Guarantee we'd see more value from him than we've seen from Coady in the past 2 seasons though :D
