Chansiri is not an easy fellow to deal with. If he think he's owed compensation for Rohl leaving then he'll be making it difficult. If we're trying to avoid paying it because Rohl might be able to release himself from his contract, that further complicates things. 

The compensation has reduced to a very low fee and his staff are all out of contract. 
 

Regardless of whether its 600K, 1m or 2m. Its worth paying now for him, Powell, Lense and Bibbo. We need all of them. Pedersen would be a bonus.

Thing is, LCFC might think they can get them all without paying anything, so why should they pay up to £2m now/today just to 'get it sorted' a bit sooner? 

 

Yes, of course, the clocking is ticking and preseason has already commenced, but if a few days 'saves' the club up to £2m, would that not be prudent? 

 

I thought 'reckless' spending was what got many knickers on this forum in a twist?

Agreed. I hope the club are actively pursuing him after all this. I definitely think the club needs change at the top but the very least a forward thinking coach like Rohl I can get behind.

I would be VERY surprised if this takes any longer than 24-36 more hours to be done and dusted.
