To be fair, I know this club get a lot wrong, But I can imagine Chansiri is making this pretty difficult and Rohl's lawyers are working over time.

There are direct quotes from Rohl saying he basically does everything at Wednesday, it's just him and the weirdo owner. Seeing as he won't be able to negotiate his own exit, it's probably safe to deduce that whoever from our side is dealing with this (probably Rudkin let's face it), is dealing directly with Chansiri.

Rudkin speaking with Chansiri. And people are wondering why it's taking so long.

Does Rudkin speak Thai , surely Aiyawatt can do that if he's not too busy playing Polo.

They do get a lot wrong, but if they do go and sign Rohl they should be given credit on this, the rumours were they offered it to Martin and then withdrew once they saw the backlash, and imo I genuinely believe that if Rohl signs it’s because of a fan led drive to make it happen. I don’t think the club would have been lining up Rohl as the main candidate given their obsession over pep ball.

If my opinion is right, the club have finally listened to fans. It doesn’t absolve them of the radio silence since relegation and the mistakes that took us there, but it atleast shows us we can have an impact if we all pull in the same direction.

To be fair - you should probably take all the credit. You've been a very eloquent and persuasive promoter of Rohl.

If we get him, think of this as your Ric Flair 'Tete' moment.

Have you been paying attention at all in the last 10 years?

If there's one thing we all know for certain, it's that the club NEVER knows "exactly what they're doing."

I do find it very worrying that it seems the board are swayed very easily on fans opinions on managerial decisions.
I never wanted Russell Martin but it seemed like it’s who they wanted. We’d of never hired Ranieri if we had listened to majority of fans.
Rightly or wrongly they have to back their judgement.
I do want Rohl and hope he’ll do well but it seems like he wasn’t the first choice and they have tried to gauge fan opinion before getting anyone in.

I don't think this is true in the absolute slightest.

Martin went for Rangers because Martin went for Rangers, if we were genuinely interested in him he opted against it. The board didn't drop their interest because of fans' opinions.

The fans never wanted Cooper, the fans never wanted Ruud, the fans never wanted Smith, the fans never wanted Puel, most of the fans had never even heard of or considered Enzo Maresca.

Rohl is just an example of the one actually slightly realistic candidate who both the board will show an interest in and the fans can actually show some enthusiasm for. The fans are only really clamouring for him because they've been told that he's a likely appointment and he isn't awful.

youre right for the most part,

Martin was always sounding out a few options and the smart money was always on him going Rangers, as frankly thats a better fit for him and his CV, trophies, europe etc

some fans didnt mind Cooper, RVN and Smith, the latter was always going to be a stop gap

Puel was a mostly no no from all, but when you look back at it, he actually did a decent job and probably brought in(with the old HoR, i cant remember his name, one after Walsh) the best players we've had since Walsh/Pearson era

the club seems to be wanting to go for younger managers, well linked with them anyway before they go in a panic and appoint dinos, like they was look at Corberan last summer, was interest(he was too) but they got cold feet cos of the release clause

the club needs to have a succession plan in place, plain and simple, it isnt even a hard thing to do, but they make every single thing seem like a challenge

If they never announce Kingy as manager and he’s just leading trainings and game days, does he need his licenses?

Pretty sure he's got most, if not all of his badges. Was coaching at Bristol City for at least a season as well.
