But you need to realise Jakub is very very likely going to be asked to play the same, and certainyl looks less able to do so?

But we have money, hopefully to strengthen in other departments that might negate any losses ie it could result in having a stronger strike force

Played 0 games last season

My bad was looking at the season before

Still don't think we need to sign anyone

I think we will replace mads! I’d prefer to give Jakob the opportunity but knowing us will go for someone else!

No way, it’s not an endless pot of money. There are other priorities

Maybe. But it’s not something we’ve seen just yet.

Might have worse feet but better judgement :dunno:

:( not going to pretend I'm not sad about it. I guess it was necessary and we do have competent backup.

Why don’t we just give Stolarcryk a chance and actually see how he does in the Championship?

I thought Iverson was treated poorly by us but it’s hard to deny he was more of an old school keeper. Stolarcryk is clearly a modern keeper who is comfortable with the ball even if not at Hermansen’s level. Maybe he will be in time with games and experience, maybe he won’t be as strong in that area but people suggesting it’s a Ward in 22/23 scenario are off their heads!

he’s terrible with the ball

That last preseason game makes it worse… almost like the Villarreal one, where we got a glimpse of how good we could be before losing a key part (Herm and Bilal)

He is a relatively inexperienced keeper, Linked to mid table championship teams.

Maybe don’t set expectations too high and you won’t be disappointed

compared to mads i have little expectations of him, but we need to strengthen elsewhere so he will have to do and hopefully improve

I mean, it's short by at least 5 to 7 million but it is what it is and with the Coady and Ndidi money, we are close to about £30m that we have brought in. Add to that, their wages along side Vardy/Iversen and Wards wages, we are at the very least £40m better off.

No idea how close that will get us to being FFP compliant but it's definitely closer than we were.

I’d be extremely surprised if he doesn’t go, especially as we supposedly tried to convince west ham to take him as well.

Nick Pope is atrocious with ball at feet. But many of us had him in our fantasy team and he has international caps 🤷. We live in hope, (as it’s a better world than living in dread).

Stol or Iversen??

Stol isn’t terrible with the ball

He can't pick a medium to long pass, though, can he.
Short passes, he seems ok

I thought he was great at finding a pass when he first started for us… then went through a spell where he was doing the Kasper over hit to the wing thing… I think it was more form / confidence and he’s actually good with the ball

Yeah but a fee of 50% more?!

I'd have probably said £20-25m would have been fair for Mads so £18m isn't terrible. A few more mill would have been nice but we aren't in a good enough financial position to play hard ball.

A few million short, but unfortunately only West Ham showed any serious interest. I'd rather accept a lower fee and have 20 days left in the market to get a CM, ST, rather than play hardball and lose time and possibly, interest in the player.
