I get the feeling KPFC are bigging this up to gloss over the fact we are relegated from the league.

A celebration when we are going down, beyond words.

It is a distraction for sure.

But what are they supposed to do? Not appropriately celebrate the final match of our greatest ever player?

What ‘style’ of celebration would fit this arbitrary niche where it’s good enough for the fans to recognise Vardy but simultaneously not be a distraction from relegation?

I know it’s all about Vardy tomorrow but I would love it if there could be at least one ‘there’s only one Nigel Pearson’ rendition sang by the WHOLE crowd. Such an important figure in our history and with all he has gone through fully deserves a good old cheer

I think that’s a given that we will be singing that.

Picture of Shakey is a class and deliberate touch from Nigel

He had as much impact on Vardy’s development and deserves to be remembered too

Was going to say the same thing, what a truly good bloke big Nige is, he deserves the part of the credit he gets for the miracle season. He should never come back because his legend(and shakeys) will last forever, if that makes sense, long live

I think everyone who isn’t hell bent on defending KP at all costs realises this is very convenient to them.

However, we will not see a Vardy type again. Especially given the club is adverse to trying to find value in the transfer market. I have no objection to it being a celebration and goodbye to Vardy today.

They will have nowhere to hide once the season starts again. No players left (aside from academy products who will probably all be flogged over the summer) who anyone gives a damn about. Their time will come and it will get more and more toxic…

I'll be singing it for 90 minutes. Same as every week.

He should get that as if it wasn't for him and Shakey () he wouldn't have had the career that we all witnessed.

He's an absolute legend himself that helped shape the career of another.

I love our Nige.

None of it would have happened without them (and Walsh). The individual player rises such as Vardy and Mahrez and the team achievements.

We’d have been flailing around in the Championship chucking £10mill combined on Beckford and Mills rather than £2mill on Vardy and Morgan if KP had their own way!

As you say, the best player and manager we have had.

The club are definitely using this as a distraction from the fact we are relegated....

And it's working....

Im definitely going to be distracted from any negativity if the likes of Pearson etc are there.

Its going to be a special day today, regardless of everything else going on.

An AI generated image is the best we could do? I've been critical of people jumping on the club for any little thing recently but this proper sums us up.

So glad the club is doing this, definitely didn't want another Kasper moment where we didn't even get to say bye to him. Was really disappointed with that at the time and even know to be fair. So glad Vardy is getting the opportunity to say bye to the Fans and we get to say Bye to an icon.

Masterstroke by the club for a change.

Divert all negativity away.

App is pushing this game hard.

I still want to give it to them, but I Vards deserves a full send off. I hate this club for what is doing to me.

This is a momentous day on Filbert Way, let's give Jamie the send-off he deserves. Also really marks the end of an era with him being the last player from the greats of that title-winning team.

“The fans took me in as one of their own and you always want to repay that. They have been nothing short of fantastic for me here. That’s why this Club will always have a massive place in my heart. It’s everything to me. It really is.”

So I was fine up until now but that video of him being clapped by the other players as he walks out to train has got me. No spotlight chasing just a little "cheers lads.. go on warm up" What a legacy. Just Vardy being Vardy. I'm not crying, you are

We should always take every opportunity that comes around to show our appreciation for this man. He rebuilt our club after relegation to League One, gave us promotion to the Premier League after 10 years away, and is fundamentally the reason we went on to achieve major success.

He's welcome back as DoF whenever he wants. Without him, we probably would have had three or four seasons in League One, no buyout of Mandaric and certainly no Premier League title, FA Cup, European football or fifteen of the best years in the club's history.

I'd sooner have Non-Stick Nigel than Teflon Jon any day of any week.

Difficult situation really. Furious with the club and they deserve both ****ing barrells today. On the flipside, Vardy is the biggest Leicester legend there ever was and none of the great times could have happened without him.

100% the club are fully getting behind a massive send off to divert the attention away from how utterly inept they are. But Vardy deserves it.
