We bought a lad from Fleetwood Town

He cost a bloody million pounds

At first some took him for a clown

Now BUILD THE STATUE

Well done Jamie - 500 games 200 goals, we'll never see the likes of him again. A true, 100% legend. Cherish the memories! The GOAT.

Are oeople really comparing leaving early in games where we are comfortably ahead or comfortably losing. To a game where we say goodbye to our greatest ever player.

Why's the ground not half empty

Beggars belief.

I totally accepted the rhetoric that those leaving at 15 minutes to go NEED to leave.

If there's something unavoidable you need to go.

Remarkable really, that it those obligations are suddenly not obligatory.

A cynic would suggest that they ought to be in the ground supporting the team every game rather than for a curio and a free flag.

I bet the guy who gets commissioned to do it is gonna be well pissed off if they've got to replicate that pose!

The Jamie Vardy show. So over the moon he got to 200. You've been out number 9 for the majority of my adult life and I could never have imagined just how incredible you'd be. Watching Leicester won't ever feel the same again personally

That’s it. That’s the pose.

With the Premier League and FA Cup trophies and the Community Shield at his feet.

GET IT BUILT.

There are goodbyes in football — and then there’s this.

After 500 appearances and 200 goals, Jamie Vardy bids farewell to Leicester City. But how do you truly say goodbye to a legend? To a man who didn’t just wear the shirt — he became it.

Jamie Vardy didn’t walk into Leicester City — he charged in. Raw, fearless, and electric. From Fleetwood Town to Premier League immortality, he shattered ceilings and expectations alike. He gave us thunderbolts from 30 yards, last-minute winners, and that magical run of 11 straight games with a goal. But more than that, he gave us belief — that with heart, hunger, and a bit of madness, anything is possible.

He played like a man who knew what it meant — because he lived it. He was never just a striker. He was the fire in the press, the grin in the chaos, the spirit that lifted a club and a city to heights we’d only dared to dream.

We watched him become a champion. We watched him lift the FA Cup. We watched him grow older — but never slower in passion, never quieter in his love for Leicester.

Jamie, this isn’t just a goodbye. It’s a love letter. From every fan who sang your name, from every child who wore your number, from every beating heart at the King Power — thank you.

For the goals. For the glory. For giving us the ride of a lifetime.

Whatever comes next, know this:

You didn’t just make history.

You are Leicester’s beating heart. Forever.

Once a Fox, always our Fox.

Goodbye, GOAT. Welcome back any time you want.
