I just don’t think the EPL will ever get over us winning the league, I don’t think they would be pursuing us as relentlessly as they have if we didn’t win the league and the FA cup…. When the reality is, we’ve done all of that spending less than the likes of Forest and Villa…… and yet we are the ones being relentlessly pursued, and we’ve been relegated now twice……

This isn’t the PL doing their due diligence, this is a witch hunt.

I do agree however we haven't helped. They wanted a way to target us so we did all we could to help find that target by all the mismanagement of the club. It's an utterly shambolic.

But in the same breath, other teams seem to get away with stuff that shouldn't.

Football is ran by paperwork, football comes second

Can I ask? You seem completely unwilling to criticise the club here.. I can't deny the rules are a mess but surely you can acknowledge the club has worked itself into a complete state..

Not my original post, but the club's 100% at fault and heads should roll internally. Despite that I don't want us to be punished.

I would defend us to the hilt because the PL is equally incompetent makes the rules up to suit it's own agenda and allows clubs like Chelsea to sell their Hotel, women's football team to their own holding company to comply with PSR.

We made the PL look foolish and they're trying to destroy us.

Well if /they don't get away with it this time and points are actually deducted  surely  Top, Teflon Jon, Sue and other incompetent "members" who have contributed to this sh1t show of a situation won't have anywhere to hide this time.

Surely?????

By the way, 100% the PL would have had this ready before Sunday… I’d bet good money we’ve begged them to keep it quiet until today.

I could genuinely see us not having a striker until January next season.

Precisely.

IF Ayew stays and Daka leaves - idk what's going on with his future - I reckon they'll try play ayew up top.

Absolute shitshow.

Starting point of 12 points with the premier league wanting more is mad ain’t it. Genuinely we could be in a fight to stay up next season.

Really  don't care ,the club and board deserve all they get , hope they get ****ing clobbered  once and for all to show everyone  what  useless bunch of ***** they are.

I totally understand why not submitting accounts is punished as non-cooperation (seems utterly stupid that we didn’t) but if you challenge something, win and then win the appeal I cannot see how that is the club in the wrong personally so I’m not sure why that is deemed relevant to this idea of an aggravated breach. Seems absurd!

It seems like we should get punished, and the club deserves it to a large extent but 12+ points seems to me a pretty clear indication that the rules are no longer about the sustainability of clubs at all.

It is a starting point. Much easier to go high then reduce than start low and increase.

I think they wanted 12 for Everton originally. Was set at 10 then reduced to 6.

Imagine actively wanting 12 points taken from a team. They should be doing everything they can to make sure the competition stays on the pitch, yet they're arrogant enough to think they can effectively relegate who they want. Then there's Man City who will just pay off who they want.

Not excusing out shit show of an owner, but it's disgusting what PSR is doing.

We don't though. Punishes us more than anyone.

Imagine the ill placed smugness when we get promoted anyway. lol

Both things can be true...

PSR is anti competitive and designed purely to keep anyone from breaking into the "elite"

But also we as a club have made an utter shambles of any attempt to comply by offering out extortionate undeserved wages, signing endless flops and letting talent leave for free because we dont have any internal football strategy.
