It has taken place.

So the club couldn't have told us that? "The hearing has concluded and we have made a strong case to have the charges overturned. We will update our loyal supporters further when a verdict is reached." Communications to fans isn't so much about giving us information but more letting us know they haven't forgotten us. That they care.

I'm loving the way the club is keeping us in the loop on this one so as to minimise our anxiety over the inevitable points deduction and when it may land. Great work.

Maybe chill out a bit.

Nothing. They’re very likely completely in the dark about when the judgment will come.

You can't help but feel this will be announced when it causes more inconvenience that it might at any other point. I'm going for this Monday/Tuesday. Rumours will circulate Sat/Sun on the amount.

A well placed article in the bbc from a unnamed source who “believes” it “could” be X points. Then the ai and click bait sites will repeat it as fact.

It’s already rumoured/circulating in legal circles. Legal team arguing 2-4 (3 being automatic apparently due to one breach - not checked the rules myself) and a suspended sentence for 3 years for any deduction over 3 triggered by  either promotion or further infringement alongside a hefty fine. They’re (apparently) very hopeful of getting one of the above “positive” results. Bartering being had on us not appealing as part of the suspended ruling.

Above is what I am told (by a pretty well respected ex-colleague I trust) we are pushing for and by no means certainty just adding to your comment of what is being discussed.

Also, legal team have found further errors in the ruling book which isn’t a good look.

How would that work then on promotion? If we get promoted by less than x points we don't get promoted?

I think what they’re arguing (and this is second hand from the other hand speaking to someone actually in the know). It applies first season back. And just to clarify. It’s 2-4 plus 3. 3 being automatic - it’s expected as a minimum in the active season in which the ruling is made.

Don't think you need to worry too much about that lol

Very very much doubt that what you are suggesting is correct.

For instance if 3 points is laid down as “ automatic “ then that’s what the sanction would be so why would anyone be” arguing for 2-4 points ?

Add to that it is not within the gift of a IC to barter nor would any IC be empowered to agree to a sanction being dependent on the club not appealing.

All of what you suggest could have be the case had a sanctions agreement been in place prior to an IC being appointed but based on precedent there is little to no chance that such an agreement would be achieved with the footballing authorities.

The independent body returns the verdict to both parties then the club and the opposing party then negotiate when the information is allowed to be made public

No news on this at all? Seemed most speculated we’d have heard something before Christmas time but seems oddly quiet?

people seem to think Marti was talking about this in his interview yesterday but doubt he’s aware

The powers that be will do their usual trick of delaying the verdict so we are unable to do anything in January.

Feels like the authorities are leaving it as late as possible to see how many points need to be deducted to ensure we end up in the relegation zone. Looking less and less atm!

They need to sort themselves out with this the authorities, this should all be sorted before a ball is kicked. This effects both the punished and the teams around them.

That said I think we might have the book thrown at us here that might put us in serious risk of league 1.

As much as we've pissed people off, I actually think it'd be the opposite, can't imagine they'd enjoy the thought of us dragging on any proceedings past the end of this season, which I imagine we would if a points deduction saw us go down.

If we were in a position where regardless we were down or up, I think they'd throw a load at us to prove a point but also knowing it wouldn't have any consequence

Once  the “ charges” were laid the authorities as you put it lost control of the process and  it proceeds  under the auspices of the Independent disciplinary body of the PL. A body whose head was appointed by the shareholders ( the clubs and the FA) but it has to operate in accordance with the rule book which again is agreed by the shareholders . That means  the PL  has no control of the process once the panel is appointed by the independent head who again is so appointed by the clubs .

When LCFC “ won “ the appeal and the matter went to arbitration  it was pretty obvious that all that was happening was the inevitable day of reckoning was being delayed and that was all down to the club.
The book as you put it has already been thrown at the club

We will probably go into administration the day they announce this!

If administration means getting rid of Top, Rudkin and all the other clowns, then im all for it.

I think we will enter administration at some point in 2026…. Probably before the season is over.

Based on information or a gut feeling?
