Should finished 2-2 that's the only positive I can say, can't believe they put var in friendlies!? I mean seriously wow! does it really matter in a friendly if a player is a toe offside or in this it just catches a players elbow. Players just didn't look bothered throughout, seemed to mean more for Senegal. One small mercy is it was only a friendly and that's it for the summer thankfully.

Early days, but not seeing anything of how Tuchel wants England to play. I've got a feeling this tenure won't last long. Not because we're losing to Senegal in a meaningless friendly, but because nothing about this arrangement looks or feels right at the moment.

National teams don't play every week or even every month. It's not a meaningless friendly when you have appointed a new manager and you want to establish a successful style of play. This was again embarrassing.

Despite the obvious talent in there it's obvious again that managers like Tuchel are useless. The style of play is beyond boring, there's no way this team can compete against teams like Spain, Portugal, France. I'm now doubting if this team will be able to beat teams like Greece in future big tournaments.

It seems a lot of other national teams play more direct football, we're in the mud.

VAR is present in the majority of official domestic games we like it or not. The sport must be played by the the same rules friendly or not. We might face Senegal in the World Cup and VAR will be also there.

Anyone see hunger from England players?, most seem to not want to be there.  I know we're had that conversation before but I've watched  quite a few international games in the last week or so and every team seems to have fight and passion apart from us.

Just imagining the reaction if Southgate had served that up.

Just check out the reaction to England 0-4 Hungary 3 years ago.

Spot on. It looks like everyone is hypnotised, players and fans. "Oh, we have the best talented players, the best youth" blah blah blah. Wrong mentality, we're the past years PSG of National teams and it looks like nobody understands what's happening.

Players clearly couldn't be arsed with this round of fixtures in the middle of their summer. Needs to be removed if not a tournament summer.

That said it was appalling couple of games, and Tuchel doesn't have time to be getting people on his back so early. So far behind Spain, France, Portugal, and maybe others in terms of ability.

On a separate note, I'd hate to be England manager. The Prime Minister of the UK doesn't come under as much scrutiny as the England manager. If you pick players solely based on form, you're criticised for a lack of consistency and cohesion in your selections. If you put your best 11 players on the pitch at once at all costs, you're criticised for not having a proper game plan and shoehorning players into the team. If you pick too many defensive players, you're considered a coward. Too many attacking players, you're naive and get slaughtered for being overun.

I can never tell you what the plan for England going forward should be. Many of these players thrive in club sides that are setup to complement systems/other players in those teams and then stink the place out when playing for England. I genuinely don't think I've seen Declan Rice have more than five good games for England.

Trouble is we have seen other teams and players perform really well  so then people say that isn’t an excuse but yes there certainly wasn’t anyone who can say they took their chance to impress .

Seems to be a common theme we are rubbish at this time of year no matter who the manager is .

We aren’t going to win the World Cup - be comments made about the climate and travelling as we draw nearer I am sure.

I don't quite get these excuses. I've watched other international friendlies and all the players were more passionate than this pile of primadonnas who don't want to play in the middle of the summer. If they don't want to wear the shirt they can leave and make way to players that care.

They can go to Benidorm or Mykonos to show off spending their millions.

And it's not the middle of the summer. It's 10th of June.

There’s just no respite is there. We spend month after month watching absolute dross in our own back yard, then switch over to England and it’s equally as shit. Genuinely can’t remember the last game I watched a team play I remotely care about, when I came away satisfied.

I'm not worried. We'll cruise through the group stage of the World Cup facing Iran, New Zealand and Bulgaria. Then we'll win vs Canada and if we're lucky we'll get through into semi finals by marginally winning vs Switzerland.

After this Spain will tear us apart but reaching the semi final is a huge success.

My only little concern its only like three games in and already some players looked peed off at Tuchel, just it's hope not another Capello part 2. It's clearly Tuchel runs a much stricter camp compared to Southgate. However as we seen under Capello same thing happened their and the players didn't seem to take to that regime well.

I think the bigger picture is, it’s June and after a long season they’re playing in a friendly.

But then you look at Senegal and what it meant to them and that’s exactly what it should mean to them.

Reminded me so much of us under Rodgers when he’d lost the changing room. So many backwards passes, not committing enough men forward and getting cut through on the counter.

For me, there’s a lot of players that played tonight that shouldn’t be near the starting 11. Henderson, Chalobah, Lewis-Skelly, and although he didn’t start, Madueke was absolute cat piss.

Gibbs White looked good when he came

on. Bellingham seems to think the aura that he’s carrying around with him means he entitled to fouls every time he’s gets touched.

Didn’t understand bringing Rogers on up front either.

Saying all of this, we started without 6/7 players who would regularly be starting (Pickford, Trent, Stones, Maguire, Bellingham, Foden, Palmer) and I guess it’s what friendlies are for but no one really put a marker down to show they can dislodge any of them.

The ability is there, that’s not the problem. It’s the heart and desire that’s the problem.

I mean if there's one good thing to come out of that shitshow, the FA won't consider taking England to that dump again for a while. lol

Definitely a self-fulfilling prophecy about this. Entire rhetoric around these two games was that we shouldn't be playing them. This sort of thing rubs off I'd imagine. Two genuinely pitiful results followed - no huge surprise really.
