Villa winning the title would certainly be a laugh and would certainly upset the usual brigade. The press and pundits have almost got their Arsenal scarves on every week and desperate to see them lift the title.

Unai Emery done a much better job at Villa than Arteta at Arsenal. Emery took a club that was just above the relegation zone to be a regular in europe and now title contender in a space of three years. Arteta as yes done a decent job and got them back as title challenges but as not won a cup in five years and had a bigger budget than Emery.

I’m cheering them too, but it’s certainly no fairytale.

They need to qualify for the CL with their wages and spend.

No different to the other title contenders spending stupid money.

They were a relegation threatened team when he took the job. Now they're one of the best teams in the league. Even with their money it's quite an unbelievable job.

Mad to think, Emery was in reach for us when he went to Villa now we're more likely to get Conrad Logan in as manager.

Dunno man. Arteta has done a good job at turning Arsenal around. Now genuine title contenders again and done a great job shipping out the players with attitude problems. Also has trophies to show for it. I admire the job Emerey has done, I like him, but still not won anything at Villa (yet).

Rogers looks good this season yeah but not anywhere near worthy of this hype he’s getting.

Yep

Sky Sports at it again- setting the wheels in motion for their fans to repeat it with authority, because Carragher is saying it.

Don’t get me wrong, I’d rather have Rogers than Foden, but they’re all overrated these days. Kane aside

How on earth is he protesting that?

Even Carragher was trying to justify it not being a penalty because of what happened in another game (of which that incident should have resulted in a penalty too).

It's clear as day a foul.

Just showing up the inconsistency of decisions but that has always been the case pre and with VAR.

Spurs are in serious danger to finish the year just 3-4 points above the zone. They're playing Palace and Brentford away next while West Ham have 2 must win home games.

That Tottenham teams seems weaker than last season as well especially with Son not around. They won't go down sadly, as once again their as at least three worser teams than them. Wolves gone, Burnley soon to follow and West Ham need to find at least two wins within the next three games or risk being cut adrift.

Frank is nowhere near a top 6 manager. Keeping Brentford up every season looks his level.

I think the Spurs fans actually preferred Ange as in their eyes he played some attacking football even if it was mainly hapless at times .

Doesn't work though does it, you cross it to collect the ball more than anyone.

This continues to haunt me ... what could have been.  If we'd replaced Rodgers with Emery at the right time, and there were some great Championship strikers & others available at the same time that have gone on to grace the Premiership.

I think this comes up time and again. Surely, (if) Emery meets our board then realises we are skint and have no ambition because we are financially messed up? Villa was the right choice at the right time.

I didn't think we'd regressed that badly at that time, but maybe we were beyond avoiding the slide at that point as our new inept owner and his sycophant DOF were in place together by then.

Even he would turn us down. That's how far we've fallen.

That sequence right there for Man U differs in what way to how some of our play was today?

Makes me laugh how posters think every attack will result in a goal or shot on goal…there is a team on the other side that will hinder going from 1 end of the field to the other

Somewhat surprised the ref wasn't sent to the screen to check for a subjective offside there. I think I agree with Neville that he didn't have an impact, but he looked to be in an offside position and in the general path of the shot. Old Trafford decision I guess.
