History shouldn’t dictate the future.

Leicester should be a top flight club.

It’s not since 2013/2014 either really.

Since the mid 1990s no club outside the traditional big boys has been as successful as us.

We have the world's most expensive training ground too. We can't eat our cake and have it too, we're not a small club - we have the name, prestige, facilities  and potential fanbase of a top 10 club.

I think season tickets selling out off the back of a Premier League season was expected. It won't be happening after 12th placed finish in the Championship.

Selling out STs is only half the story. It's a completely different story to them sell out another 6/7k overpriced match by match tickets, especially now that basically everyone who wants a ST has got one.

But ran like a non league club

Seeing as the just put rail seating in areas where people already stand it's hardly surprising.

Is that true?

Thought the safe standing was now most of that area, I’m in row U and nobody stood there.

Still a waiting list and a pent up demand.

So will sell out for the next few seasons.

Not much of one, the points threshold for getting a season ticket was 20 points. You get 20 points for buying a membership...

We only sold out a handful last season, I would guess there will be a drop next season especially if we're not at the business end of the table.

L1/K1 was basically a complete mirror of what already stood in that area. P1 similar. Back 2 rows of the Kop were always stood too.

SK1/G1 was the only area they really pushed it round further than what already stood, hence the people in those areas moved out as I mentioned above.

I just hope those few thousand that didn’t renew comprise a lot of the whinging old gits who suck the soul out of the place.

I'm a whinging old git. You can only get that way with years of practice. We work at our techniques for upsetting anyone with a few cutting words and grind them down  so they have to get on their keyboards, as they don't stand a chance in person.

This season is going to be interesting

As I will have my feet firmly in two camps. A whinging old git a soul sucker a blight on the name football fan.

Now I am also a superfan an ultra im the best of the best. As I'm officially a stander. Better still I'm in the area deemed to be where the best of the best should be behind the goal. Not shuffled to one corner of the ground.

Anyway enough of that I can't find my slippers hope there not in the fridge again.

They might have sold the season tickets but I suspect there is will bags full of empty seats for every game, a few I know for instance have kept theirs and have pretty much zero intention to go to any night games.

Also going to be interesting to see the individual match day prices.

You no longer get points for just buying one. Believe it 10 on renewals.

Really?

The Championship is full of fading has-been teams (Stoke, Sheffield Wednesday, Derby among others) who thought they'd soon return to the limelight, only to be proved wrong.

What makes you so certain we'll dodge that fate?

Sooner than later it’s going to happen !

The club isn’t going to instantly bounce back every time and get lucky especially how the club is being run or not run. There are well run clubs down there that will put in the hard graft on and off the pitch to achieve their goals and good luck to them, unlike our owner who couldn’t give a stuff and wants to play on his horses, it seems our owner has an arrogance that everything will run itself without putting any effort in whatsoever. We’re seriously in financial trouble and the self harm being done to our club is incomprehensible, for me I can’t turn a blind eye to that so I won’t attend. As much as I wouldn’t want our club to suffer for years down there like Sheffield Wednesday etc for the greater good I want this idiot gone once and for all and if that means 15 years down and for him to sell up then I’ll take that.

I didn’t renew. I didn’t want to be forced into digital ticketing and having to register anyone I want to forward my old ST on to with the club. It’s a long way from having two season tickets in my own name, as used to be the case, and taking whoever I wanted to as a guest - without having to run it by the club. I was forced out of this under Covid because of track and trace. Some personal reasons too. But I did want to send a message to the club that they can’t take my custom for granted. I feel slightly disappointed so many others whinge about the club but still shelled out like it’s business as usual. The club could have received a more serious message if they hadn’t have sold out ST this year. As it is the comms machine is almost gloating in tone. Well done. The club thank you for your ‘loyalty’ and support for what they are doing. That’s how it will be spun.

I'm fully with you on this and the two key reasons you mention are the exact same reasons why I fell out of love with Leicester and big club football especially in the winter of 2021/22.

The club left a lot high and dry that season with no care whatsoever, so it meant I could not support them like I did once before.

We should all have recognised the digital cage being built around us by now but I don't think most people care even if they are aware.

At the end of the day we get what we deserve and quite likely in the future when they're back in the PL it will be very easy for big clubs to remove the privileges of a supporter when they have missed a couple of games in a season.

Like you I could no longer support this direction of play so finally ended my ST for what is just a silly hobby at the end of the day

I renewed as it’s a 32 years streak now

I can’t see myself going often

hoping to give my tickets to folks willing to take them for free 😂😂😂

but these digital tickets are new to me and not sure how easy it is to do that

Maybe buy a couple of cheap phones and use them as season ticket phones ?

My boys never want to miss a game no matter how bad things are on pitch so if you do the maths ST cheaper option than membership and buying tickets each week particularly when prices frozen.

Was an expensive season last year to watch what 6 wins at home (including cup victories)

Which ones are they, asking for a mate.

Can’t say, scary bunch, i know this because they stare at the crowd more than the game.Well for the 60 minutes they are there

Will be interesting to see the atmosphere with the churn that’s going to occur. Expect a bit of a bounce like we get with cup games but will soon die out.

These new season ticket holders would've previously been Fox Members and probably already at most matches last season and before. It won't seem very different.
