Better to do that and flog him for £700k than let him walk on a free.

Has anyone ever shown interest in him? This to me is just us paying him for another season for him to leave for free next summer instead.

No idea, getting even £250k for him is better than leaving on a free. We have to start sweating our assets and I have some faith McCarron will be better at selling than Rudkin will be.

Even £500k from Leuven where he previously did well helps us out massively. He's started 26 games in his career, 10 goals, 4 assists, there is something there.

I'd probably be more inclined to give Popov a new deal than Opoku but both going to be relatively cheap 1 year outlays.

I think he looks like he has more upside than Opoku but we just have to stop losing players for nothing

Opoku I presume we had an option to extend so that’s why.

Popov’s contract expires this summer but presumably only allowed out on loan as we have an option to extend too.

could be interesting to see what he’s likes in the summer as I feel he’ll go the same way as George Hirst, clearly got the physical attributes

Leuven have paid that sort of money for all sorts of dross - did well there before his injury

Can't see it, think we would be lucky to get 100k.

Probably more like it but it really isn’t impossible- I think we’ve just been conditioned as a fanbase to get nothing for these players. There’s always a market somewhere

They always seem to offer pointless extensions to nothing players like Opoku and Marcal, meanwhile we lose prospects like Bassey and Maswanhise on frees.

It suggests the worrying suggestion that these 24 year old and 23 year old who have not been good enough to make our current squad are expected to be squad players next season as we can't afford to replace the senior players out of contract.

It is also proof that the Sporting Director will have no say in the club as Rudkin gets these completed before McCarron arrives

Marcal looked like he had something about him when Enzo was here then injured when he went on loan. Feel like he will do a Maswanhise and get released on a free before doing well at his next club

Otchere has been in shit hot form for a while now. 8 goals in his last 11

Need to get him a loan and see how he does with real football.

Hutchinson looks like a bit of a battering ram haha

Hutchinson real is a physical specimen. No wonder he is doing well at youth level.

U21s having their best season in several years, despite a clutch of the U16 winning side almost completely bypassing the U21s in Page, Monga and Evans.
