Good work the trust has been doing recently. Definitely improved with the new board members. The cold hard facts are that the “directors” won’t read the minutes and it likely won’t be fed back to them so, I doubt they give a shit about communicating.

perhaps it’s something that can be raised at the next meeting … why is there constant lack of action and a refusal to take fan suggestions on board.

They put a lot more effort into the Community than their relationship with the fans.

Tell the admin to stop wishing happy birthday to random players lol

Nearly the same amount of time since we've been relegated than it is to the start of the new season. Pathetic from the club and glad the Trust are holding them to account.

The 'void' has been present for quite a few years (internal review, anyone?!).

Time they start shaping up and actually connecting with and answering fans again on serious legit queries and concerns.

This is how they operate they won’t change, it comes from Top this is how he is. They’ve actively tried to tighten it as much as possible.

We have today published an article on the continued silence from LCFC:

https://foxestrust.co.uk/11888/lcfc-and-the-communication-void

The club has remained largely silent since relegation, other than brief comments in the Southampton home game programme, and the recent announcement about contract extensions for ‘nine rising stars’.

Leicester City supporters have heard nothing from the club about whether Ruud van Nistlerooy will be with us for the start of the 2025/26 Championship season, and seemingly, from his comments, he doesn’t know either. There may be valid and legitimate legal reasons for that because of the PSR / financial situation, but we’re left in limbo for now.

There has been nothing from the club about where they may have got things wrong.

This is after a season which saw us relegated on 20 April, after nine Premier League home games in a row without scoring, accumulating a meagre points total, and still with five games to play.

There’s been no accountability or responsibility, and no indication of what the plan is regarding playing staff and style of play when the Championship season starts on 8 – 10 August … in nine weeks.

One of the big issues raised at the meeting of Fans Consultative Committee Working Groups on 30 April was the growing disconnect between the fans and the club, and the failure of the club to communicate.

Foxes Trust Board Member Harry Gregory represented the Trust at the event on 30 April, along with Ian Bason who attended in his role as the Trust representative on the Fan Advisory Board.

The minutes have now been published, but unless you dig deep into the LCFC website, they are difficult to find. Both our Trust Board members taking part believe them to be a very fair representation of the sessions they took part in, and Harry said it was good to read that the minutes accurately stated:

“It was felt that the disconnect between fans and the Club was largely due to a ‘communication void’ from the Club. Group members felt unhappy with the lack of communication from senior leaders/owners at the Club about relegation and requested a statement from the owners/leaders.”

Despite the ‘communication void’, being spelt out to the club in the fan engagement meetings, and it being openly referred to in the minutes drafted by the club, over a month later, nothing changes.

The minutes, which record a wealth of information of interest to most LCFC supporters, are buried on the official website.

Issues like …

  • Steps to engage better with LCFC supporter groups
  • The excellent work carried out in respect of Leicester City in the Community
  • Safe Standing
  • The matchday experience for 2025/26
  • Ticketing … both for home and away games with away priority points discussed, and digital ticketing.

You will find full details of those discussions here:

FCCWorkingGroups_MeetingThree__Final.pdf

It really is worth a read and we’d encourage you to do so. Meanwhile we wait to see when LCFC will improve the way they engage and communicate with their supporters.

Is there any context to this? It can't just be Rudkin out chants can it?

I’ve not read much on here for months and I really don’t care too much about football and this club (but here I am) but is there any consequence if they don’t talk to fan groups?

I know the FT “aren’t a protest group” which I get to an extent, but the same fu©️kers on the FT board hung themselves, the members and the fan base over 12 months ago before the FE framework and all that bollocks was allowed to be signed off. I’m repeating myself I know but still, it’s so valid and those clowns still need to walk away from the FT, which now has as close to zero credibility as its ever had. Despite better comms and a drizzle more energy I’d say.

That was the chance to have a massive tantrum and to out the tossers in charge. But they bottled it and this stance from the club was inevitable as advised. Fair play to the Club on it TBH. I’d do the same.

I can imagine your efforts are improved with new blood and genuinely well done to them but all this is just so easy for the club now. Unless you’re going to riot they’ll do fu©️k all because the FT was such a fu©️king shambles last year and wouldn’t listen to anything that was anti-club.

For context (and so you remember yourselves) while we were all getting shafted for £25 etc the FT chairman at the time was delighted that the FT had a heads up on a Fatawu announcement video which “you should all quite enjoy”.

Unfortunately despite the efforts of the new blood the FT made their bed last year and now you must lay on it while Anthony tucks you in, kisses you goodnight and laughs at you.

Just on a side note to what I was party to on my session;

You can actually assign a ticket via exchange to a non member. You have to set up a fan account but you don’t need to be a member to receive a ticket as a transfer. I wasn’t aware of that at the time.

It’s beyond despicable for people to sneak into the meeting minutes accusations of supporters abusing charity and community initiatives.

Neither of Trust reps were on that group - so can’t really help with the context annoyingly.

Personally the line of using ‘stories’ isnt right. It has to be factual for me to be recorded in that manner

Criminal was the word that really stood out. Presumably PC Stevens is on the case!

Nevermind the use of the word “criminal.”

Sounds like Rudders is not bringing his kids to games to hear the fans chanting about him, which is fair enough.  I can imagine it would be upsetting.

It’s ok - we should just let him take the club back to the Stone Age and not be bothered about it.

He is the only club staff to be personally identified to my knowledge, obviously in addition to “the board” but that is a collective.

Just to be clear, who are “group members”? And also I wonder how many as a proportion of the group is “some”?

the club doesnt care about any of us, FT could given them a 30 page essay etc in a meeting and i bet 30 mins after it would be in the bin

the club do not give a toss,

if they didnt have to do the fan advisory stuff they wouldnt

The notes put out by the club "documenting" the FCC and FAB meetings are a disgrace. Total propaganda.

That piece is just letting everyone know that the club no longer communicates on any level with it's supporters (customers)

It really falls totally short of a full condemnation of this and does nothing to hold anyone to account over it.

I appreciate things may have improved from the Trust (not hard) in terms of it's language about club actions or lack of, however, these absolute failures need properly digging out and need to be held to account.

Name what you would expect to hear from named individuals in certain roles. Give examples of other clubs who actually have spoken to their supporter base following relegation. It's feels more like a commentary piece rather than what it should be at this stage.

Demand a meeting with the club, (you won’t get one)but let everyone know, social media, radio Leicester, Mercury ect.  Then report their refusal or silence to meet/communicate. You may be getting to the point that throwing rocks from the outside will have more impact than trying to work with them.

This non communication is only bad for them and is pulling more and more people onto the KP out side of things.

I was going to reply with the same but assumed it was just a commentary piece rather than one of their letters that I assume they email in?

If I was writing it i'd take out the following...

"There may be valid and legitimate legal reasons for that because of the PSR / financial situation, but we’re left in limbo for now."

"other than brief comments in the Southampton home game programme, and the recent announcement about contract extensions for ‘nine rising stars’."

From my understanding the club HAVE to speak to the official supporters trust and include them in official meetings, if that's the case, give them full barrels! Don't tip toe around it, call them out and ask hard questions. It's not like they can get rid...

All ad hoc meeting requests are largely ignored, everything is required to be put in the "fan engagement framework" to be discussed at the scheduled meetings. Allows the club to control the agendas of those meetings, control the conversations and gloss over stuff they don't want to speak about.

Hopefully though if they widely report this refusal to meet while raising the concerns of the supporters who are being ignored anger will grow and it will become a pr disaster (even bigger than now) not to communicate. Try and force their hand.
