I think this is gonna be linked with the post I made previously. he’s making plans, from  what I can tell, to go all in on Iran and he wants control of the straight of Hormuz and he plans to impose 20% surcharge  on all trade passing through to pay for policing/ controlling  the straight of Hormuz.

He really is a stupid idiot isn’t he . F***** up so bad thought he could get Iran sorted in 2 days and everything would be normal but has completely messed it up. He will most likely gaslight everyone and say they are winning again for the 659th time .

Probably thought he could get away with the amount Russia has been doing to Ukraine but it seems to have back fired massively on him . Thinks threatening them will work but they’re not budging and it’s making him look very silly

Fair point, however there are terrible and terrible ones. (Like, for instance, the difference between between showing off your box of cigars in the Oval Office and allowing the secession of a good half of your nation. Or, indeed allowing and/or inciting an attempt to subvert the democracy you are sworn to defend, at the place and time it was due to be affirmed.)

 

Equivocations really are not required here.

There's countless groups and comment sections on there going mad about the murder of Ann Widdecombe. Specifically the fact that they released that the suspect was "white British born".

Honestly so many braindead people in this country. They'll happily vote the most obvious corrupt person in on the one promise of "stop the boats". There's countries that suffer from corruption for decades like many African countries, and now there's British people that can't wait to vote in a guy that got a £5M "gift" from a fraudster? And now reform are going the woe is me approach that farage is being bullied and harassed... Jesus Christ. 

 

I know some people don't like the data concerns withage verification but I think it's a really good thing that the past couple of years, governments are waking up to social media addiction in the same way they do about alcohol, drugs or gambling addiction- and I'd argue social media addiction has become far more dangerous to society than all those 3 put together (but thats just a poorly researched opinion off the top of my head and not a hill I care about dying on).

 

Personally, if I was in government, I'd ban autoplay features and infinite scrolling and regulate algorithms (though im not sure how practical that last one is in practice) and go with the more discouraging advertisements similar to those that massively helped reduce smoking over a generation in the 00s and 10s. 

 

Like, after every 5th post in your twitter or Facebook or reddit feed or after every 5th tiktok clip and 3rd advert on YouTube being like those anti-smoking adverts on packaging but things like "social media addiction is bad for your mental health and social experience - here are things you can do instead... " "remember that many of those people who's opinions you are reading are either not human nor not who they say they are, even on the smallest of groups and pages - many are from countries who wish to do Britain harm" etc. Almost like the walls have ears posters in ww2.

I've mentioned it on here before, and it's a great initiative. The more people who apply the better, after all they are already living here anyway and they have to be able to prove that, this way they will have to pay in to the system which they can't do if they are undocumented. More tax for Spain, and the benefits that come with being regularised for the people.

Not a comment on the politics of it but the general under estimation of the black economy that exists right across Western Europe 

 

same would be true here although we really should be in a position to have a better handle on those who are here given the fact that we are an island

I mean that’s the whole thing about the black economy- it’s cash.  As a society. We’re still largely not cashless - the better off you are the more likely you’re cashless.

Ive been on holiday to Albania, we are as close to cashless as it gets. Over there we had to withdraw cash to pay for the hotels we booked on booking.com
