Another quote from Will:

The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars but in ourselves .......

Indeed.

Also, on the topic of such things, I would very much recommend the book Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman.

Over 70 million people considered the current occupant of the White House to be President material.

Sadly the thought processes of quite a few people appear... rather inexplicable.

What a choice presented to them though!

Yes, out of over 300 million people, are they really finding their best?

That being said, they made the wrong choice for a second time (it is, once again, inexplicable that an insurrection attempt was not a deal-breaker) and now it's almost everyone's problem.

I mean tbf I imagine most countries have far better candidates but yea in the USA there must be 10s of millions of people who’d do a far better job.

I wouldn't insult a good box of Corn Flakes in that fashion.

And when it stops being the world's problem, then I might have a day off. Until then, it's a useful thing to redirect my anger from the City defence being dodgier than a chocolate teapot sold to me by Del Boy Trotter.

Clearly not.

A cereal box would look stupid with a ballroom extension.

Because, as we all know...

Turkish hairdressers are just a front for money laundering.

NB, I'm not saying this is what that is, but it's fuel to the fire for those who do say this.

Also expect it to be brought up at Reform rallies nationwide.

That ballroom might have a lot of nuts in it though…

So pleased you raised this. I noticed an 8th barber has just opened in blaby. It's  not a Turkish one, but it is carrying on the new blaby traditional of non hair cutting businesses.

I for one am pleased that the excessive hair lengths displayed in our town have come to an end.

I don’t really get why the left don’t go hard on these places to try and win some trust back. I’m a leftie and I would get these places shut down on the basis of clear people trafficking, money laundering and destroying small, local community business opportunity, all things that the left should absolutely be against.

The outcry in the aftermath of Fukushima was both ridiculous and damaging. So many people who should know better making bad decisions.

The big oil and gas companies must have thought it as all their Christmases come at once. To the detriment of the future of us all.

Right.

The casual ignorance of science and how it appear to bleed over into policymaking right now is... well, interesting.

The next time nations base policies on such ignorance, the cost might not be so low as it has been (so far) for things like this and Covid, for instance.

That could well be a corollary that he and his backers are looking for.

Personal gain of money and therefore power being the only thing that matters to him, naturally.

But there are other self interested reasons that he let it go ahead, too. One thing is for sure - it's certainly not out of any sense of altruism whatsoever.

he started this war because he’s an idiot and none of his little minions have the balls to stand up to him.

Same thing happened to Stalin - get rid of anyone who dares disagree with you and surround yourself with people who think you’re the 2nd coming of Christ and will say yes to anything you want while calling anyone who argues with you a “woke cancer” and yeah, you won’t be making carefully critiqued and debated arguments anymore

Given that Iran has a lot of Chinese weapons and systems, does the past ten days make Taiwan a bit more secure ?

seems that the missiles and drones are about all that have performed to a reasonable level (and tbh, vast majority of the missiles have been intercepted)

The missiles and drones are not Chinese sourced.
