What happens with regard to nato if Isr attacks Turkey like they are threatening to do?

Would depend on a lot of different circumstances as to a reaction, if any, from NATO if that is your question. They wont fly an article 5 in. It needs all nations to approve it too. Only been triggered once and that was by the US post 9/11.

So last week Badenoch and Farage attacked Starmar for not joining the Iran war. This week they're both against joining the Iran war. Pair of Muppets. They'd both have literally waded into a war with no way out if either were in charge. Good week for starmar.

Across social media right wingers spent all well attacking starmar, parroting Tory and reform attack lines. I always wonder how those people must feel when they reverse course.

I happened to overhear a few minutes of GB news today. I was literally shouting at the TV.

They were interviewing people on the left, protesting against the war and people on the war, supporting the war.

They came back to the studio and the presenter was banging on about how they both dispised starmer and how it was nonsense he was getting praise for not taking us into war, as we would never have gone to war.

As you say, absolute tosh, the two on the right would have walked straight into being trumps lapdogs last week.

Whether you like starmer or not, he's played the Iran special military operation brilliantly

The former PM and likely the next one once the election happens, the ‘moderate’.

Can’t see how he’s going to be the next PM.

and of more relevance, he doesn’t really threaten turkey with an attack. he’s just posturing. rhetoric to try and make him look tough ahead of elections - his party has to come from nowhere. He’s trying to look like Netanyahu without the baggage.
and there is no way that USA allow Israel to attack Turkish territory (there could be a confrontation of sorts inside Syria at some point but that would be nipped quickly by Washington).

To put it another way...

He could spend $22,000,000 every day for the next hundred years, even if he never earned another penny.

I’ve been saying for years that billionaires are dangerous people and will require special laws & taxes (directed only at them), concerted worldwide effort, and a great deal of luck, to combat. Exactly how that’s done requires more powerful minds than my own.

Allowing the concentration of wealth & power in this way will lead (and is leading) to the recreation of failed, barbaric systems of rule similar to those of times gone by. Their interests are simply not aligned with those of the rest of us. Worse, it will be turbo-charged by AI.

You can have gross inequality & concentrations of wealth and power, or you can have democracy. You can’t have both.

The outcry in the aftermath of Fukushima was both ridiculous and damaging. So many people who should know better making bad decisions.

The big oil and gas companies must have thought it as all their Christmases come at once. To the detriment of the future of us all.

The close relationship between German politicians and Russian oil and gas companies should be a national scandal.

Given that Iran has a lot of Chinese weapons and systems, does the past ten days make Taiwan a bit more secure ?

seems that the missiles and drones are about all that have performed to a reasonable level (and tbh, vast majority of the missiles have been intercepted)

The missiles and drones are not Chinese sourced.

Chinese air defense systems - apparently their best and newest, latest barely 2 days.

They treat it like it’s all a game.

I think someone else said it, but the USA doesn’t have the same scars of the world wars as Europe does, it was essentially a faraway foreign war for them like Iraq or Afghanistan was for us with no real chance of hurting them at home, of course sad for the proportion of the population who lost family members in invasions but it didn’t affect everyone in the country in the same way. They didn’t have the air raids, the rationing, the blackouts, the evacuations, the seeing friends and family members die, the seeing cities you’d visited turned to rubble, the having to kill your beloved family dog or cat so they couldn’t make noise at night, they don’t have those stories that got passed down by parents or grandparents like we all do.

As such, they don’t have the same cultural understanding of what war really means to individuals at an animalistic survival level like we do in Europe (or like they do in China and Japan). That’s why they can still treat it like a game like this.
