DezFox Posted 15 June 2025 Posted 15 June 2025 Good on his day. 15 plus get rid & reinvest. Anything below, keep.
Grebfromgrebland Posted 15 June 2025 Posted 15 June 2025 Without a replacement we'd be silly to get rid. He's good for 15-20 goals and assists. 4
LeePhilpottsBaldSpot Posted 15 June 2025 Posted 15 June 2025 Near the top of the list of players I'd like to keep - I wouldn't want to sell for less than £20m. At the same time, it is also true it's a position we seem to have disproportionate depth. Disappointing but it could be sensible in our current predicament to sell and invest in other positions. 1
Muzzy_no7 Posted 15 June 2025 Posted 15 June 2025 By the end of next season his value will start to decrease. Likely we will still be in the championship come 2027 so sell now while we can get proper money for him.

I know they might do that so they get something for him, but it means his contract isn't up this summer any more.
Ted Maul Posted 16 June 2025 Posted 16 June 2025 Assuming that Bilal goes, he's probably the one who I'd have most faith in to perform consistently next season (a lot of question marks in the squad around injury and age). Should be doing everything we can to keep him unless we get a silly offer.

O'Rourke is a muppet and I don't see anyone offering enough for Stephy for us to consider it. The longer we do this the more I think the tier system can be condensed in to "this guy is nearly always right" and "complete nonsense." I swear the drive for engagement makes football rumours more pointless every year. 1

FosseSpark Posted 16 June 2025 Posted 16 June 2025 It will MASSIVELY depend on who comes in i think. A progressive manager who really gets us playing will remind him of Maresca who he says ' made him fall back in love with football again'. He doesn't seem to thrive AT ALL under managers like Cooper or RVN who weren't so focused on wider players that hugged the touchline and were protected by a left back that stayed at home 99% of the time (Calum Doyle barely had licence to leave his own half during that championship season). If we get a foreign, possession based coach in asap i think we might see him stay. Other than that i think he will prefer to go. Fatawu, Mavididi, Monga, Alves, McAteer, Ayew is a fair old selection of wide players for the champo. The only problem is we don't have a striker, 1st choice centre mid (assuming El Khannous goes) or 1st choice centre halves so may feel like we have to sacrifice one of our players to correct that imbalance. Currently: Vestergaard, Faes, Coady, Kristiansen, Ndidi, Soumare, Daka need to be relocated tout suite to get us moving.
Stadt Posted 16 June 2025 Posted 16 June 2025 Anything north of of £15m we'd really have to consider it. He's a good Championship winger but he didn't completely tear it up last time, 12 goals, 6 assists, in 40 nineties for a side that won the league isn't that good. 0.38 non penalty xG+xA per 90 is average. Karlan Grant, Robbie Brady, Josh Murphy, Callum Robinson are in that ball park last season. 3

In Enzo’s system the wide players were really wide, job was to beat their man and then the goals would come a lot from overloads in central areas in the pitch. You can see Mavididi’s quality by eye. We become significantly weaker out wide without him.

We become significantly weaker out wide without him. It's a trade off, though. I like him generally but if we have an offer of £15m or so in our financial position we have to weigh it up. The system did stunt the goalscoring ability of our wingers in 23/24, I agree with that but he still only got 6 assists when in theory he should have been teeing up this overloads. He's a capable player but his ceiling is pretty much upper Championship and bottom half PL at push. He was in and out of the side last year because he was often complete ineffectual and his decision making is pretty wild. To get a similar output with much worse Championship players in a better side is damning, system or not. Someone like Zuriko Davitashvili would probably be available for about half the potential fee we could receive from Mavididi, probably on lower wages too. But again, to reiterate, I like him and this would only make sense if there was a credible £15mish offer which I doubt in all honesty. 2
lcfcsnow Posted 16 June 2025 Posted 16 June 2025 He only got 6 assists because he has to do umpteen stepovers before attempting to beat a player, doesn't have the football brain to know when to release the ball when the opportunity is there either and inevitably loses the ball more often than not 2

I'm not sure he's got the drive to be a real top player and as mentioned he loves to do at least 3 to many step overs. His numbers probably should have been much better in a side that saw so much of the ball in the championship last time round. I wouldn't be adverse to selling but I can't see us getting an offer that says snap their hands off either. I can see him being another one that leaves us on a free having failed to live up to the potential.
Dan Posted 16 June 2025 Posted 16 June 2025 On the whole I do like him but as ever, the right offer and I would sell.

We were previously linked to fellow Georgian Chakvetadze who plays attacking mid and left wing. Georgians FTW! 1
