I watched Supergrass' set earlier on iPlayer and Danny Goffey on drums looks more and more like Paul McCartney as he gets older.

Just shouting things into an auto-tune, gyrating round on stage and the most basic of lyrics.

 

Give it 10 years and it’ll be a robot on stage churning out the same rubbish as this.

Wunderhorse and Fat Dog (lead singer looks like KDH and sounds like James Acaster) the 2 other sets I've really enjoyed so far from bands I knew nothing about.

Not trying to say who's a bigger band etc, but that's a lot of listeners im yet to find!

 

 

 

We're clearly NOT their target audience. I did notice a very good review of one of their albums on Pitchfork, and they're usually very sniffly about pretty much everything

Can't say I've ever been a Neil Young fan. Last night it looked and sounded like pensioner rock and not very interesting rock either. 

 

I guess Heart Of Gold is ok but even that is a bit dreary

Fat Dog are weirdly intriguing. I've seen them a couple of times. Equal parts Rave music, Budos Band and the Fall. Not sure I'd listen to it at home, but it's fun to watch

I watched one song from Doechi and it was mostly shouting into a microphone and wiggling her arse at the crowd. Not sure that superstardom beckons based on that. 

 

Oh and I checked Busta Rhymes out as I like some of his stuff. Since when did he become a lardarse with a massive gut on him?!! 😳
