Would suspect this game was in the diary a while ago ... so it will be put right after today .... if not probably grow a few rows of  cabbages to go alongside the cabbages in the management / playing staff

It’s already been mentioned many times in the thread, as has the “it’ll be fine in 5 weeks line” but when you are hosting international football live on terrestrial TV it’s your opportunity to show your best. 
 

Sounds like the circumstances were unavoidable but it adds to the narrative that’s been doing the rounds in the national press doesn’t it, far from ideal again.

Jesus even our pitch is shite, the only thing we could always rely on being near perfect! OUR CLUB IS LITERALLY ROTTEN FROM TOP TO BOTTOM 😭

This might have been mentioned already (haven't read through all the comments), but wasn't there a big junior tournament on it in June, over a couple (or even few) days? It's an annual thing? That always gives the pitch a battering.

 

Combined with the recent hot weather, I think the ground staff have done a half-decent job to get it as good as it is. 


I might be completely wrong, of course, and perhaps it is a sign of the wider malaise of the club, but I do think it's just a combination of kids and hot weather and it'll all be back to normal by the start of the year.

Beings that we are back in the EFL ( Egotistical Fuchwit  Lemnians !) Are we now able to bring back the fantastic patterns we had a few years back, or will they add on another point deduction for even suggesting our fantastic pitch designs of years past?
