Who’s missing then that is still at the club officially?

Hermansen, Faes, Vestergaard, Soumare, Choudhury, El Khannous, Souttar, Coady, Kristiansen, Justin, Coulibaly, Ndidi, Fatawu, Daka, Ayew, Reid, McAteer? Anyone else?

All of those easily get a game on the Championship for 95% of teams. They won’t all stay, however we still have a very strong squad.

Or Kingy has a mind of his own and it’s a formation and style that he likes.

Or, as he has said, he's focusing on the fitness and application of the players as it would be pointless to spend loads of time on style of play only for a new manager to come in a rip that up.

Common sense from an employee of LCFC. Shocking I know.

Hopefully off to Sheffield United!

I'm working with some Bengali lads and Choudhury is absolutely massive over there. He's just started playing for their national team and I'd imagine would bring a lot of attention and money from the region.

Also he's proven he can impact the top end of the Championship so I'd be more than happy with him next season.

I was joking to be fair.

I think he’d have played a part last season, as his work rate and desire is something we were clearly missing.

Obviously the moral question of his behaviour is valid but football is so fickle that if he commits to the club and does well it's easy to forgive.

I think choosing to watch this might be one of the worst things I've ever done in my life.

The ones there are definitely the type to take too long doing their co-op shop at the self service. You can just see it.

All 10 outfield players will be swapped at HT as well.

Oh you don't have to be that clever to see it don't flatter me.

Read Winning! by Clive Woodward and then come back and tell me small margins either way don't stack up.

I’m not taking sides on your spat, But I’m bored so will offer that Clive didn’t write that book - it was predominantly written by Humphrey Walter and references the work Clive did with Dave Brailsford and his ‘marginal gains’ philosophy. But that was based on changes to physical routines that shave fractions of seconds off performance data. He also forgot to mention that providing highly questionable drugs also helps! 😂. The training shirt is likely the exact same weight as the official kit - so it likely changes zero. But psychologically, I think there are advantages to not wearing the full kit yet - even if we had one! 😂

How did that work out for him at Southampton as Performance Director or Dave Brailsford Mr marginal gains as Director of Sport at Man U?

Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't, out most successful season came of the back of a crazy summer.

Think I just passed minor things about City getting under my skin.

The balls around the final 3rd of the pitch haven’t been great. It’s not like this lot haven’t played together before.

3-2-4-1 in possession with Golding and Skipp as the 10s lol @StriderHiryu

Yep, we called it in the watchalong.

First game is all about fitness, don't read too much into it. Golding looks quite good to me tough, standing in the right places and box crashing at the right times. Skipp.... lmao

Luke Thomas has looked good, really aggressive and has been on the front foot constantly pressing and winning duals

Similarly good at the back end of last season, will be a regular this time around

Were toothless in the box. We need a striker.

And this is against one of the worst defences in the entire English football pyramid last season

The thing is, the principle of it does work. It’s a little overdone now so whilst it’s simple, lots of coaches are attuned to it.
