Yes, and one of those purchased agencies (John Morris) has been doing John Rudkins job for him for the past 5 or so years.

And photographed or filmed at least three to four of the media from the signing announcements

Club were absolutely shit scared of upsetting Wasserman in the past in case it upset  Mr / Mrs Vardy

Now that link has gone they may not get quite the cushy ride they have had for the last few years

But that would mean Rudkin getting out his comfort zone and actually doing his job and networking

I’d say it’s less about Wasserman who are doing their job and getting players in front of clubs and more about us not cultivating good relationships with all of the big agents.

it’s basic client / intermediary relationship management.

I think the most concerning bit was after the mild fallout with Morris last year, we swapped straight to CAA Stellar/Base and got into bed with them instead! (we'd done some dealings with them in the past)

Our board meeting to discuss the new manager.

Top: “So it’s a critical appointment, how are we going to compile our shortlist?”

Rudkin: “Wassserrrrmann”

etc

A lot of our academy youth (Barnes, KDH, Thomas, Hamza) all went to Wasserman, but the next gen seem to be at CAA.

Noticing 🧐

For me its less about the Wasserman obsession specifically, or what agency at all, because it is a part of modern football,  its just the fact the club see it as its primary source of incomings (be It players or staff) rather than getting scouts out on the road, or computer geeks combing through data/clips and getting opinions from football people - not agents that only see the pound signs in their bank account. Isn't how Pearson and Walsh built this club 10/15 years ago and isn't how the Brightons/Brentfords/Bournemouths of this modern day footballing world are running their operations either.
