Mads - Shining light in a black hole last season and may persuade him to stay longer

I have it on good authority that he's one of the humblest and most personable characters we've had at the club in recent years. He wouldn't be a Walsh-esque captain, but may well make for a more Elliott/Morgan-esque one. I suppose Justin would be a candidate in that mould, as much as I'd like to see us move beyond him and some of the other more established names.

For me, if we intend to build the side around him, Nelson would be the forward-looking choice. Ricardo, who has a great many leadership qualities but is likely to be absent for much of the season, is the more conservative option.

If it's Faes/Vestergard/Winks/Coady, I'm going to plug my ears, shut my eyes and wait until it all goes away. I already dislike this squad more than any other Leicester squad I've ever known. That would tip it over the edge!

Can’t take it seriously that people are suggesting Nelson.

he's played 5 games in total for us and less than half of a season in the championship with Oxford. And he’s only 21. It’s like you’ve all turned in to Rudkin. He might be captain one day, but let him at least get a full season under his belt first!

The fact that people are saying lots of different names means there's no definite answer and it looks like there is maybe a lack of leadership which might be concerning. Faes is definitely not captain material and he needs to concentrate on his own game without worrying about anyone else's. Someone will need to step up both in commitment and be able to have the respect of the other players. There is no obvious answer.

Ricardo is a shoe in for captain, don't think there will be much debate in the coaching staff's mind. Vice captain could be very much open for interpretation depending how he wants to look at it and who would still be here at the end of the window.

I’d go for Rudkin

A real special talent

Some don’t like his leadership but I don’t agree

Some say he’s slower than a snail and they’ve seen more action in a graveyard but I’m not sure on that.
His work rate, attention to detail and commitment to the cause is second to none it’s no wonder his nickname is “dynamite”

But the best attribute he has is his decision making - out of this world !!!

Beyond Ricardo, there is no-one you'd say is guaranteed enough to start and also looks like captain material.

Ricardo will be club captain, then it depends who is playing. Ndidi probably next in line but don't really see him as a captain.

If Coady stays and gets game, no doubt he will have the armband, probably Winks too. If Faes stays I can actually see him having it at some point. Justin maybe.

Winks the same player who hasnt looked bothered since we lost Enzo? Not the kind of personality we want to platform within the club.

It would be quite on brand for us nowadays to give the captaincy to someone who pulled that nonsense last season. Really dislike the way this sort of disrespect seems to have become tolerated. A massive sign of weakness.
