Ricardo.

Winks VC.

Nelson certainly in the leadership group.

I’m not sure with Winks. Seems to believe he’s better than he actually is.
Nelson for me. Won’t mean anything but King gave him the armband in the pre season game against Peterborough.

Difficult to say with much confidence without having much of an idea what their personalities are like but I agree the obvious one is Ricardo. Hamza has worn the armband on a few occasions I think so despite his track record of being a bit of a bell and not a particularly good player, he might be in the conversation for vice captain. Nightmare scenario is Coady stays and gets given it, can't be arsed hearing any more about what a brilliant talker and leader he is.

Do people expect Ricardo to be available often enough to be an effective captain?

Nelson is a very interesting suggestion. Not quite Nish-esque, but getting there. If he's going to stay, and we aim to build a side around him for years to come, then that's the forward-thinking option. Not an extremely injury-prone 33 year-old who, it's been implied, wants to leave.

He also gave it to Choudhury as well and whilst I appreciate he's been a Leicester a while, he's hardly captain material IMO.

If he stays, I'd go with Ricardo. Winks was good last time out in the Championship. Would be happy with him as vice captain, even though he let himself down somewhat last season. Be interesting to see who MC sees as the leader of the pack.

Is there some kind of leadership quality I’ve missed from Nelson? Why would we put that on a 21yr old who’s barely played for the club. Bonkers

Beat me to it. Let the lad actually break into the first team before asking him to lead it lol

Obvious route is Ricardo Pereira with Harry Winks as vice. Wouldn't be against giving Mavididi a bit of extra responsibility as vice.

They made him captain for the friendly, means they see something in him no?
