They made him captain for the friendly, means they see something in him no?

That means fvck all, as do all friendlies.

Depends who will 100% be here but I wouldn’t mind Thomas being a Vice Captain. Showed a bit of character last season, local lad and a fair bit of experience for his age too.

Nelson for another option for vice captain

Tough one as all the older/experienced players are rotten other than Riccy and Ndidi.

Riccy we don't know how many games he'll be able to play and not sure if Ndidi will be here next season. Same could also be said for Riccy to be fair.

So just to make this clear, the coach’s who deal with him everyday seeing him as a potential captain means **** all?

Is there some kind of leadership quality I’ve missed from Nelson? Why would we put that on a 21yr old who’s barely played for the club. Bonkers

Well none of the established players showed anything approaching leadership last season so all are excluded so it looks like Nelson.

With our current squad, we don’t have many natural leaders. A captain should be a mixture of leadership qualities, experience and balance. It’s either Riccy P or Ndidi. For me Ndidi edges it. He also has a business degree that he studied for whilst playing for us, which must mean he has a certain amount of discipline in his mindset.

Ricardo obviously. About the only player in the club over the past few years with a good attitude.

If Thomas keeps up his form of the end of last season, he should be considered for when Ricardo is not fit. There was a maturity we saw which hadn’t been there before.

He also gave it to Choudhury as well and whilst I appreciate he's been a Leicester a while, he's hardly captain material IMO.

If he stays, I'd go with Ricardo. Winks was good last time out in the Championship. Would be happy with him as vice captain, even though he let himself down somewhat last season. Be interesting to see who MC sees as the leader of the pack.

Despite the fact a fair few managers now that actually work with him on a day to day basis have given him the armband.  lol

Anyway, Ricardo captain, winks vice. Coady if he’s here as he’s viewed in the wider football world, away from agendas, as a leader. Picks itself really.

He’d really be upsetting the Apple cart (which in fairness is debatably needed) in order to give any role to Nelson.

My only concern with Ricardo is his fitness levels. Seems to spend more time injured than fit recently.

Enzo managed him by playing him in the inverted role which Cifuentes favours as well, he played 45 games under Enzo

What I was alluding to, and perhaps I didn't say it very well, was, I'd have thought a captain would have to be a regular starter on ability and I haven't seen evidence past or present that suggests Hamza should be a regular starter.
