Am I tripping or did Getafe get a guy sent off for kicking the ball away in celebration because he thought it was the final whistle?

Second yellow card in the 97th minute, ref blows, even I thought it was full time, player goes to whack the ball, turns out it was a free kick, gets a second yellow for time wasting lol

spectacular - there's got to have been more in the match to start that, because it's an absolute nothing challenge in the first place.

Seems like the usual, the goalkeeper goes berserk because they were tackled.

So Senegal no longer the official winners of this years AFCON, the result has been overturned and Morocco are now champions. To be honest nothing more what they deserve Senegal shown no sort of sportsmanship.

Disagree. Morocco had it on a plate and wasted it. The goal was worthy of winning the title and Morocco as 'organisers' were crossing the line with what is acceptable treatment of teams as a host.
The way the stewards got involved into physical altercations with opposition players and failing to protect them/do their job should have been penalised in itself.

While I understand and accept the walking off was not correct, you can totally understand where it comes from. You can only provoke so much without getting a reaction and to disallow what would probably have been the winner in the final minute, for what was absolutely not a foul, and then compounding it with a last gasp penalty against you, it certainly adds some valid context to the matter.

Again, the authorities' failure to handle things leading up to all these incidents is where the blame should ultimately be. To reverse a sporting result like this, feels very hollow and insincere.

Straight up 100% corrupt.

Senegal won on merit and they did so whilst the hosts did pretty much everything in their power to cheat to win.

Now they've gone and stolen it in the courts. Shameful.

Given some of the decisions that went on that night surprised Senegal weren’t disqualified straight away as they should have been going by the rules .

Or certainly at an earlier stage than now.

This does smack of lawyers getting involved and sure it’s not the end either .

If you don’t think FIFA and third world confederations and national football authorities are corrupt, you still believe in the Easter bunny.

I’m hoping that precedents where CAS has ruled in favor of results and referees’ decisions made on the field, will have them reverse this backroom re-litigation by CAF.

Just watching the opening match for the new season here in the CPL.

We are employing the new offside rule, where any part of the attacking player can be even with the last defender.

I will let you know how that goes.

You also have a new team competing – FC Supra (du Québec).

Hopefully, more cities will folllow for more competition (and more attractive play and talented players).

Halifax, St. John's, Thunder Bay, Winnipeg, Regina/Saskatoon, Edmonton, Kelowna... Lots of potential.

Yes, always good to see the league growing.

York FC have changed their name to Inter Toronto.

Biggest issue is still 8 teams spread across the country.

It's around 5500 km between Victoria on the west coast to Halifax on the east. That's a 3 day drive, without sleep!
