We've seen a third choice keeper play what, once, in the last 15 years. He had plenty of league experience and yet a youth teamer genuinely couldn't have done worse. Senior third choice goalkeeper is not a position in a squad that needs to exist

I would feel much more comfortable with Asmir as 3rd choice. Even if one comes in on loan to challenge Jakub. If JS got a serious injury I don’t know how I’d feel about Begovic being 1st choice for an extended period of time

Actually one only released.   Going public in claiming Ward was a goal-keeper might get you sectioned if reported to Wes Streeting.

In our current financial situation, unless a real cheap deal could be had. I’d lean towards trusting begovic. 
 

Championship clubs get emergency keeper loans unless I’m mistaken, so you can always bring one in

Jakub has a contract until 2027 and in my opinion should be number 1 even if Mads stays, this would put Begovic at number 3. Just can’t see that happening so I think the club is looking to offload Mads to raise some cash. Bausor has been improving every season and is first choice for the under 21’s it is no good keeping him at the club as number 3 because he will not get any game time and will only appear on the bench in probably cup games. Much better to get him out on loan to a team that is going to give him game time and more experience. He only has 1 year left on his contract and could easily move on at the end of next season if there is not a route into first team football 🦊

What am I reading? lol it has a tinge of the Ward > Schmeichel calls a few years ago.

He’s bound to have admirers due to championship season and first half of last year. 
 

West Ham links probably have some truth as Potter will like his ability with ball at his feet, same with Howe at Newcastle who missed out on Trafford. Wouldn’t surprise me if Enzo ended up coming in for him

We can't and won't sign anyone else (except maybe a loan)  until we can trim the squad and wage bill, and neither should we so that we can start to sort the finances out at the club. The club is not sustainable as we currently are. Yes it's frustrating we are in this mess because of the people running the club but hopefully they are now trying to correct their wrongs and stabilise the clubs finances.
