You not been coming long?

Canero?

Kenton?

Kerea Gilbert?

Kaebi?

Gilbert did a job! Albeit in League 1.

I’ll throw Robbie Nielsen, Alun Marbury and I vaguely remember a game when Ricardo Scimeca played right back (I think).

Same with Soyuncu as well.

If a player won’t sign an extension, you move them on if you can. If they are running down the contract to get a larger signing on fee, then you’ve got no hope.

We’ve tried to shift others, however it’s always the balance of what will they cost to replace, then the value of them for the remainder of the contract. It’s the same with dishing out larger contract extensions as well.

Interestingly, I see no one has bothered to pick up Amartey!

To be fair, Cags was put in with the kids under Rodgers.

Why would he have considered signing an extension?

Youri though, I completely agree, it felt destined that he was happy to just plod on and take a huge signing on fee.

Yeah there’s bloody loads worse than Justin over the last 2-3 years but 2020-2022 Justin was really really impressive

For 10m we've had their pants down, tbh. Decent squad player for a Prem side especially if he can get his confidence back but there's got to be better for that money.

Wasn’t there a video doing the rounds about 9 months ago about how many goals were conceded due to JJ?

We’re a fickle bunch, he’s been part of our downfall in the past few seasons and I can’t shake how overpaid he’s been…anyone know what wedge he was on originally to the big jump after he re-signed?

Impressive how you nail Ricardo Scimeca's name but butcher Alan Maybury's!

Caught out of position numerous times last season in the premiership.   Never the same since his injury.  Good luck to him at Leeds not upset he has gone 8 rising to 10 million good deal.

Case in point? Background music makes it all seem so comical, when we all know depressing each of those positional calamities were. Take care JJ.

I’d only just noticed that I’d done that! Ha Ha

Great deal IF we can get a replacement. But no doubt we are weaker without him based on the shite in reserve (Ricardo aside)

I honestly, genuinely don't think it's possible that the lack of James Justin makes any side weaker.

I think the matchday thread will tell you different when Thomas & Hamza are named as L&R backs.

We need a replacement, if Ricardo goes twang again we are left withThomas, VK, Hamza & Woyo there isn’t a better combination out of those 4 than JJ & Ricardo pairing so yes I’d say we are squad weaker but £8-10m is £8-10m and in our situation obviously anyone is fair game.

Doesn't make up for Iversen, Tielemans, Iheanacho, Praet, Söyüncü, Amartey and Perez all leaving on frees in recent seasons. Or the subpar fees received for Barnes, Maddison or even Ndidi and Hermansen.

That's without touching on the abysmal signings we've made the last few seasons as well.

Don’t get me wrong I can’t stand the guy, the sooner he goes the club can move forward. My point is in terms of outgoings this summer he’s done a good job. Am I going to say “he’s changed” or “give him another chance” fvck that!

Tom Collomose seems to have an insider at the club and he suggested that Rudkin was taking a step back and Glover was taking a more prominent role, so there’s an element of me that’s curious to whether this is Rudkin’s work or Glover’s.

Its hard to imagine he has suddenly developed the ability to sell players, however it might be that the financial constraints have reached the point where the firesale is on and they are embracing it.

Ah good old 2004-2008 era. And to think we are just embarking on 04-08 2.0 right about now

Has been a good servant but has also struggled in more recent times. The squad needs a refresh so time to move on and good luck to him at Leeds.

Good deal for us given his contract situation and will be mostly if not all pure profit, has had injury issues and his form has never quite reached the levels of pre injury but a fantastic professional and very good servant to the club. Hope he does well.

Hopefully a few more to follow this week and it gives us the headroom to bring in 4/5 new players to balance the squad where needed and freshen things up to better suit how Marti wants to play.

IMO we need a defender, 2 x midfielders, versatile attacking midfielder and a striker but some of that will be dependant on some more outgoings of people we want/hope to move on.
