Begrudgingly not going to delete this because I don't think there's any point, people are going to keep re-opening this thread all summer until he goes to Swansea or whoever.

But Peter O'Rourke is less reliable than Alan Nixon. His entire job, for the last decade, has been to drive advertising revenue by making up rumours for engagement. He's one of THE worst false rumour mongers.

Pretty sure he's linked Kone alone to about 10 clubs

thats probably because alot of clubs are looking at him given hes got a year left on his current deal and done as well as he has at Wycombe

also the fact there was another tweet prior to O'Rourke linking us too, from BBC Sport Wales

This deal makes absolute sense young striker with huge potential, at £5m is a complete no brainer on a 4 or 5 year deal you are looking at PSR of £1m to £1.25m per season. Also from a personal terms point of view you can offer him £15k-20k per week max.

I bet he’s on no more than £3k-£5k p/w at Wycombe. You could easily offer him below £15k p/w with an increase clause if we are promoted.

Knowing our Rudders he’s probably offering him £40k p/w

Are we linked to bump up the price? Are we being used and abused? Clubs know we've lost Vards and probably looking to replace him, so we are an easy club to be linked with.

If we are interested, then I wouldn't be against it, but not of it means a bidding war and getting closer to £10m, that would be bad business.

Intrigued in this one

As back up to Daka and Ayew, I'm not against this.

I’m convinced that with only a year left on his contract someone from abroad will take a punt on Daka in this window.

You heard something or just a hunch?

I posted 2 Wycombe supposed ITKs yesterday who said we had placed a bid for him. Looks like it could be true.

The only downside I can see is that he may well be off to Afcon on the same plane as Daka leaving us with just Ayew.

Id still go for this though.

Ayew would go with Ghana too

There’s better and you get over seas. Why do we (if true) persist in pissing around with deals like this, when we can pick up an absolute gem in South America.

I watched him closely in the playoffs he’s not good enough and looked technically poor, and barely scored in the second half of the season

So another Daka then

You can pick up shit from South America too. I'm not sure it's that easy to just go and pick up quality players for £5mill whenever the need arises.

Nice succinct summary of why this won’t happen :sweating:

A player going to Swansea.  Yet, people creaming their underwear about a player noone has heard of.  We are not even in for him.  Close thread.

Obviously lots and lots of people have heard of him.

How the hell did Ghana not qualify for a 24 team AFCON

going swansea; well not yet as theyve not had a bid accepted,

and the comments about people creaming, yeah did you say the same about Fatawu, Hermansen, BEK etc?

what an incredibly naïve comment to say

but I guess you dont watch anything besides premier league and the leicester games, nothing else

If Daka was worth throwing £20 million (!!!!) at, then this lad could be underwhelming and still a complete bargain for a quarter of that price. lol

Young, strong, sounds like he fits a possession / wing-heavy system.
